With all the variance in baseball -- especially college baseball -- it would be remarkable if we ended up with the same final series again as last year.
Pretty amazing OSU is back in it. Lot of people didn't think they'd even make the tourney until the last week.
Got to say, winning the CWS is maybe the hardest championship to win in the NCAA. While the best college baseball teams have very high winning percentages, they play alot of scrub teams in general to pad the totals, and they don't play as frequently as you may need to in the course of the post season. You need to go at worst 11-4 against the hottest (if not best) competition over the course of just a few weeks and at no point can you lose back to back games.
I don't understand the lads these days and their aluminum falcons. Back during the Spanish-American War, I hit two home runs off Charles Radbourn using Santa Anna's wooden leg as a bat. I broke it on the second one. Had to use the spines of deceased polio patients at the plate for the rest of the season.
