NCAA Basketball Thread - 2022-3 Season (2 Viewers)

Damn, missed my Creighton 1H -5. That was close... might cost me my parlay but I did a round Robin by 3s, so I need Xavier to keep it tight.

Right now I think I'd rank the remaining teams as follows...

UCONN
Texas
Gonzaga
Miami
Kansas St

Shame the top 4 are all on the same side of the bracket but some great games this weekend and next

Texas, Gonzaga & Miami are all interchangable

Crazy, in the last 42 seasons, 62% of the National Champions have been #1 seeds and none even made it past the sweet 16 this year with one losing in the round of 64 and another in the round of 32. The two that lost in the sweet 16 both were basically run off the court.

One of #5 San Diego State, #6 Creighton, #9 Florida Atlantic or #3 Kansas State will be playing for a national championship.

No #9 or #5 seeds have ever won it. Two #6 seeds have won and five #3 seeds have won it since the 64+ team tourny (42 years)

16.67% chance vs. the Miami/Texas/UCONN/Gonzaga winner

Have to give credit to Creighton and coach Greg McDermott. They looked like hot garbage for a stretch earlier this year.

@The Z Machine as expected yesterday was a massive failure after Thursday's gravy train. I'm just glad most were bonus bets  I was fairly confident in what I had for today, but then both DK and Fanduel gave out K St ML boosts. :<_<: Maybe they're angling for handouts after so many missed boosts on the tourney, but these scars cut deep...and like a damn fool I'm in anyway.

K St and Uconn ML boost +242
Nowell 30+ PRA K Johnson 25+ PRA +175 bonus bet
Uconn ML Half/Full +105 bonus bet
All teams 65+ boost +130
Timme 30+ PRA Hawkins 20+ PRA Over 144.5 boost +430

If either FA or Zaga drops to +7 live I'll use a bonus bet on that too. Both have had strong performances in the 2nd half.

I'm on Uconn -2.5 and K-St -2. Got a small parlay with these two as well.

I like the Uconn / Zags over at 153.5 even though it's pretty damn high for 40 mins of college basketball.

Creighton boned me 2x by 1 point. I lost a parlay because they let in a bucket at the end of the first half and then I missed Princeton +10 because Princeton obviously couldn't hang. They cut the deficit to 11 just to piss me off I think.

That late 1H bucket got me too. Despite all of yesterday's ell's I'd have came out ahead with that one as I hit the rest of my legs on a +359. Oh well- onto the next one...

ML Parlay UCON/KSU

I feel like UCON just toyed with St Marys, a team that plays the Zags tough. Not always, but they are really the only team in the WCC to at least hang with the Zags 15+ years. I just do not think Gonzaga has the horses to stay with the Huskies. We will see but I think Timme time is over.

Just want to root for Nowell. My god that guy is must watch TV for me.

I agree on UConn. A Zag win would be a pleasant surprise but it took last minute heroics to beat a gassed, depleted UCLA team. UConn should win double digits.

So I've watched FAU all of 1.5 games this season (probably ever, actually) but dang are they fun. Athleticism, shooters, a 7ft Euro...they have it all and play with a ton of energy.

Nowell has been exciting to watch, but I keep pulling for the Owls.

I haven't watched a lot of college basketball this season, but everyone seems to think that this is a down year in college If this is true I have a difficult time believing that there was 12 teams better than UConn and 32 teams better than FAU. They are both criminally under seeded.
