Roddy White promised season tickets to a fan if Mercer beat Duke. Doesn't look like he's paying up completely, but will get the guy tickets to one game.

Did he also offer to buy someone a Honda?
Updated with White's offer
87.5% of a welsh is almost worse than 100% of a welsh.
That's awful. I stay away from Roddy like the plague during ff season, and this just cements it.
Atlanta Falcons receiver Roddy White is paying up for the Twitter bet he lost.

White, who told fan Dylan Hoyt he would give him season tickets on the 50-yard line if 14th-seeded Mercer beat third-seeded Duke in the NCAA basketball tournament, ended up following through with his promise days after Mercer upset Duke, 78-71. A team official confirmed White would present Hoyt with two seasons tickets and two Super Bowl tickets.

Hoyt also will receive pregame sideline passes to any one game and will be a guest of White's at training camp, where he'll sit in the VIP section and talk to players after practice.

White didn't want to make a big deal about the story, but it took on a life of its own after the receiver was attacked on Twitter for not following through on the bet. The team mentioned how White was willing to follow through because Hoyt was such a class act about the whole matter.

"I'm a man of integrity and definitely a man of my word, and the kid is a great kid," White told ESPN.com. "We have talked about it for days while people were just speculating. And being a father, you have to be responsible for your actions. I have always been a 'say what you do and do what you say' type of guy. And I wanted to add some incentives because he was so cool."

PR move? Season tickets AND SB tickets after he was only going to do the Bears game? Hmmmm

wow, 40 year old deaf chick hears for the first time

i haven't cried in some time but it's been water works over here for the last few minutes
Seems like they should've set up something more awesome for her to hear than this bird droning on and on about the days of the week.

"Tumbling Dice" or something, I dunno.

There's some guy on Reddit who got a similar procedure, and he's been chronicling hearing music for the first time. Pretty awesome, I'll dig itup.
at least it wasn't a recording of Jim Nantz
Let her listen to **** Vitale and tell her all men speak that way. See if she unplugs.

How long does Baylor stay in the zone?
They've been almost exclusively a zone team since they hired Scott Drew. They have a few wrinkles and movements to switch up the look, but they don't play much man.
I was under the impression they played quite a bit of man earlier in the season and have played zone exclusively in the past month or so (as I typed this, Marv said essentially the same thing)I haven't seen much Baylor at all this year.
No big deal. They weren't on TV much. They primarily play a 1-3-1 zone. They have options on it to pack it in to a 2-3 when the ball goes to the side, or hold the 1-3-1 form to prevent threes, or move Austin up to the middle and run and trap around him. It's had varying levels of success. Last year they would have guys playing different looks at the same time and it was a cluster####.

However, switching it up within that zone look was how they beat Dayton and Kentucky in December, and adding some discipline to it was how they got to the finals of the Big XII Tournament.

This first game could've been Kansas - Syracuse.

I know everyone loves the upsets but jeez. This game sucks all kinds of D.

UCLA-Florida was the only really interesting game tonight anyways. Tommorrow has the better matchups with Louisville-Kentucky and MSU-Virginia.

Well there is a difference between interesting or competitive. With at least one of those, you have a decent game. With neither, this is barely watchable.

I see UCLA went from the beautiful baby blue jersey look to the ugly dark blue sleeved look. Smart.
For the most part, Adidas hates their customers. Remember the camo jerseys they made for the tourney last year? Cincinnati looked like a girls' high school team.Hard to believe it's the same company that did those KU throwbacks, huh?
