Unreal, great game by both teams. Kentucky has beaten 3 final four teams in a row from last year and now plays another team in a final four. If they win it you can't say they didn't earn it.

Does Kentucky play in a bad game? Ever?
You missed the first 3/4 of the season?
lol. They had one bad game all year to South Carolina
They did not really start to play well until the SEC tournament.
I posted this before the UK/Louisville game:What does "putting it together consistently" even mean? Of Kentucky's 10 losses, only one came from a team that didn't win 20 games. 8 of those 10 losses were by 5 pts or less. The other two were to Florida. Half of their losses were to sweet 16 teams (Florida 3x, Baylor, Mich St). Their only loss outside of the SEC which is still undefeated in the tournament was at UNC by 5.

I only see one game (South Carolina) where they didn't win against a team they should have. If that means they haven't played consistently all year, then

The only two games they didn't have a chance to win were against a final four team with two losses all year. Everyone puts too much weight in seeing 10 losses.
They are at a totally another level the last month than they were.
How?
Seriously??? They were questionably a top 20 team. Now they are playing elite.
Look at the talent and athleticism they put on the floor. How can see that starting five was questionably in the top 20?? Again, people put WAY too much emphasis on seeing their record.

Why is this a surprise? Six months ago we were discussing perhaps the best freshman class ever. 5 months ago we were discussing a possible undefeated season. They don't have any "bad" losses and have gotten better as the season has gone on. Kentuckys best game is the best game anywhere. Period. The end. Their last three have been awesome performances. Two more of those and they cut down the nets.

Exactly....a team that with that much talent, should only have 4-5 loses tops, no matter who they played.

They lost 3 of their last 4 including at home to Arkansas and at South Carolina. As mentioned they then lost by 19 in Gainesville. You can't say they were playing well at the end of the regular season.

That's exactly my argument. They were competitive in EVERY single game this year besides two against Florida. They beat who they should beat except for South Carolina and either won/lost a close game to every other 20+ win team. The size that they put on the floor is ridiculous.

lol three of their 10 were against Florida.

I can't recall a team playing three awesome games like this in a row in tournament history - just amazing stuff from these freshmen, If you are a Kentucky fan - you so lucky to be on a ride like this.

There should be a rule that no matter what Kentucky should never be lower than a 2 seed.

...until the next batch of uber athletic freshmen get recruited and play for a year

We don't have much else in Kentucky, but we have UK basketball. No one cares about Louisville.Eta: Oh and Kige Ramsey. He makes us all look great!

Calm down now and take another hit off the meth pipe.

Man, people have short memories. Pretty sure every team that wins puts together 6 awesome games in a row, let a lone 3. I am a UConn fan and while I know it was my team, nothing IMHO will beat the run they put on with Kemba Walker in 2011. They were a .500 Big East team to the point where they had to play an extra game in the Big East tourney and somehow they ripped off 11 straight wins to win the Big East tourney and the NCAA.

Also, just in case you forgot, UConn ripped off 5 in a row against a Big East tourney field that included 10 other Big East teams that made it into the NCAA tourney. One other fun fact was that UConn beat Kentucky in the Final Four by 1, in a great game.

Every team that puts together 6 wins in a row don't usually beat 3 teams in a row like Kentucky just did. It's not as common as you're making it sound.

Wichita State, Louisville and Michigan >>>>> Cincinnati, San Diego State and Arizona - but that was a great season for UConn - and this year is a good one as well.

Congrats Kentucky fans from a Michigan fan. Great game. Refs let them all play. Wolverines got out rebounded and out shot, and yet it still came down to the last shot. We just needed to shoot better from 3 range to counter the inside size disadvantage and it didn't happen. It's a tough loss but Kentucky earned it.

Well, Kentucky earned their way to the final four with three very tough games and a 9 seed that wasn't too bad either. Easily the toughest road there by all four teams.

Great game...I never really knew who I would want to win.

Have always disliked UK basketball...and being a Wisconsin fan, I just really don't like Michigan.

Sure...just to piss off the SEC honks here it would have been better today to have 3/4 BIG teams in the final 4...but nice as a Wisconsin fan to be the only one left standing.

Going to be such a tough game coming up next week though.

An all SEC final will be brutal to listen to any local sports radio. Already going to be bad enough with 2/4.

As one of the board's SEC honks, let me say that anyone that tries to tell you the SEC wasn't a weak conference this year is full of it.
