Um, where are the fouls when Young destroys Boatright on the boards? This is getting tough to watch, and before I ##### too much, I might have to sign off as a :homer:

eta* These must be ACC refs or something. Maybe RN can tell us.

Florida isn't a great outside shooting team but they're MUCH better than this. Finney-Smith shoots 40% from downtown and he's missed three WIIIIDE open ones tonight. He's gotta hit those.

Is Kevin Ollie the first player from Sega Genesis Coach K College Basketball to make the Final Four as a coach?

We had at least three CKCB players coaching in the Tournament: Ollie, Cuonzo Martin, and Derek Kellogg.

Absolute nightmare of a group of refs for florida. Call nothing down low. Call everything aggressive up top. I can honestly say uconn is not a better team. Better backyard players sure. Better team? No one can convince me

Wait, you think UCONN got more calls? Oof.

I can see how you can say that, though, UCONN only beat Florida twice this year.

Just a matter of what team you root for I guess... My facebook/twitter feed was full of fellow UConn fans complaining about the refs.

Wish I was back at Storrs for tonight. It is going to be absolute mayhem.

I am a die hard UCONN football fan, but don't care about college basketball (go figure). They had a great picture in the courant of a bunch of students at UCONN staring down a state police officer. president Herbst sent out a statement encouraging students to take it easy.

Great game UConn.

Kevin Ollie going up against HOF coaches and looking really good, making himself boatloads of cash with this run.

What's up with the team telecasts? The only time this was ever needed was for McCarver and Buck during those Red Sox/Yankee series when McCarver was clearly rooting for New York and hated the Red Sox. Buck's call in Game Five of 2004 sounded downright depressed when Ortiz got the hit to win the game.

"And we're headed back to New York," he said, with almost utter disgust.

But the bigger question: Where's Raftery and Verne?
Everybody thinks buck hates their team because he doesn't show emotion when something dramatic happens. I just think that's his thing. His call for that walkoff was as dramatic as any i've heard from him, it was "And he can keep running to New York!" Thought it was decent

Arguably most dramatic yankee call was leyritz in 96 turning the whole series around against wohlers, and we were "treated" to "back...at the track...at the wall...we are tied"
I get that I'm biased. No doubt. But when McCarver went on a five minute lecture -- in a playoff game when action was happening -- about Manny Ramirez in '07, I was pretty sure he didn't much care for the Sox. I never liked that broadcast team when it came to the Sox, and I can't remember ever complaining about anything other than Vitale and Duke, which is pretty obvious to anyone with a pulse.

But what was weird was that they must have heard the comments -- maybe like about when they put Boone in the booth for '07, which was a nice touch by Fox Sports -- because Buck/McCarver in '13 was fine with the Cardinals/Sox at the helm, which should have been even worse.

Didn't think the refs were bad one way or the other. If anything Florida probably got a few more of the 50/50 calls.

Florida got away from Florida basketball. They gave up on the 3 completely after they missed some open ones early. Worse, they gave up on the press which they haven't done in a single game all season. I think Billy thought those UConn guards were infallible. As we saw late when they turned it over a few times agains the press, they weren't. Should have kept pressing.

Way too much Casey Hill for Florida. He's always a part of our weakest lineup. They were scared of the guards but as horribly as Wilbekin played, he only turned it over once. They needed another shooter out there instead of Hill.

I don't know what their offense was. Lots of standing around then one guy just charges at the basket and hopes good things happen. Totally the opposite of their unselfish, passing offense all year long. They just got away from their game when UConn went on that first run and never got back into it.

Bottom line though is Florida was in real trouble when the other team's guards were better than theirs, and this is the first time this year they really ran into that. It didn't help that every stoppage led to 15 minutes of commercials so Napier/Boatright could play balls to the wall without ever having to come out to rest.

Seriously? I thought Florida got almost every call.
Thought Florida got the better of the calls, but I thought the refs were bad in that they were letting all sorts of contact go down low but calling ticky-tack fouls on hand-checks way up high.

ETA: And UConn WAS the better team.

As a UK student from 97-00 (1 national championship and another trip to the final game), I've been in that situation. IMO the police officers are the ones that have to take it easy. The Lexington cops did a great job of allowing the parties and dealing with the knuckleheads quietly and respectfully. Drunken, celebrating college kids are going to do dumb stuff, but you don't have to be confrontational about it.

Not saying uconn got all the calls. They got the calls that hurt the way Florida plays. Fast aggressive defensive and an inside advantage. Refs called the touch fouls up top and nothing down low. Not a good combo for florida. All tournament has been the opposite. Touch fouls down low and murder up top. Hard to compete when the entire tourney has been called one way and the final 4 called differently. I can count the number of points on one hand that uconn scored off set plays. Difference off basketball talent and team play. Hopefully donovan will realize he needs to recruit differently.

This is true. Kind of like Duke in the aughts.

It is a tough thing to deal with. I have been to some crazy spring weekends at UCONN where the police pretty much had no choice. Don't ask me how, but someone set a a front lawn on fire. As the fire was getting bigger a 250 pound naked guy started climbing a tree. It was about that time the pepper spray came out in full force. There were many people like me just enjoying the party, but I would say there are far more than a few knuckleheads at these types of celebrations.

Wait? What? All the fouls were down low. How did Nolan, Brimah, Giffey, and Daniels all wind up with 3 or 4+? The whole TruTV telecast was how UConn should just avoid contact down low to avoid fouls.

This isn't in line with what happened in the game.

If you want to complain about the refs -- which I am more than up for at times -- at least back it up with sense. This makes none.

You should have been down on Woodland and Euclid in 95. No cops! People were running around nude everywhere. No ####

Didn't Florida invent Gatorade? How that kid have cramps? A week to prepare and you can't get hydrated? If Wisconsin loses this game NO MORE bets for me until The Masters.

Imagine the National ratings or lack thereof Monday if it's UConn - Wisc
huh? Uconn basketball has more of a national following than florida
Yep, not sure why UCONN making the final is a ratings killer. Arguably the most successful college basketball program of the last 15 years.

Kentucky-UCONN would do just fine. And Wisconsin wouldn't be horrible either.

Why is it that whenever there is nudity at a college celebration, it usually involves morbidly obese males?
