A couple three four things:

1) Shuke, please don't quote Capella again.

2) We're offensively challenged obviously but for Jimmy to get this team to the tournament AND to win a game in the tournament is astounding. We have 3 players, and one of those three players is Frank Howard. The rest of the guys would never have seen the court in season's past. I've watched every minute of every game including the preseason games. After watching the preseason games I told a buddy we'd be lucky to win 14 games. Gritty win against a decent team tonight, came back when it looked like big trouble. The team never quits. Friday going to be tough because Jamie Dixon has had America's Team's number for years. The guy knows how to crush the zone with interior passing and that was during years when we had a competent center. Ecstatic to be playing in last slot on Friday as now can enjoy two days of gambling on basketball knowing that cherry is still there at the very end.

3) I stick up for Jimmy more than anyone maybe in the history of the internet but I CAN NOT BELIEVE he allowed the ball to be inbounded to Chukwu, arguably the biggest stiff in program history (still love the guy), on that inbounds after the ASU bucket with 14 sec left. ASU 8 team fouls, down one, you know they're going to foul. How in HELL is Chukwu in position to receive the inbounds pass there? He was the 2nd option! Loudest I've ever yelled at the screen watching an SU game. Guy stroked the first but still, how could that have happened?

4) Ashamed to say I was so dialed in to the game I missed Madam Bazookas. Please post pics.

5) Whoever said Boeheim's face was punchable, how about Bobby ####### Hurley's face???? The guy was complaining about Dolezaj questioning a call in the first half. Was arguing for a technical. Most punchable face ever.

In Hurley's defense we have no bench. Only reason Boeheim subbed was because they had 7 fouls in first 7 minutes. Sidibe playing on one leg and Moyer just not ready to contribute. If anything happens to Battle or Howard we play a walk-on.

Well the only hoops I watch is Big 12 and I don't think TCU is among the best teams.  They gotta chance? 

 
Have to say Boeheim reaction to Howard making FT at end of game perplexing. Up 3, Howard make puts them up 4. Only .4 left so wouldn't have mattered either way. Have to think Boeheim thought they were up only 2. He does the weird Boeheim arm thing when ASU inbounded leading me to believe he thought if they hit a 3 they could tie. Second oldest coach since 1985 at 73 years old behind Larry Brown (74). Buddy Boeheim coming in next year and maybe red-shirting so 4-5 years left at least. If Hopkins doesn't bolt for WU job this could have been JB's final game. Hope he stays forever. Love the guy. His family owned a funeral home growing up. Got bullied his way to walk on and start at SU and never left. A winner.

I'll say this: Dixon owns us. Frank Howard has strep throat. Chukwu two bum knees. Dolezaj and Brissett hard falls tonight, very sore. Sidibe knee surgery next month. Jimmy thought we were up by 2 at end of game and chastised howard for making ft when we were really up 3. YES, I think we have a chance. Gonna be tough.

No excuses except the unfair scholarship restrictions that crushed the program these last 4 years. You have a school making up Swahili classes that lawyered up and can recruit the top-top athletes and win Championships. We haven't been able to develop the Pinson's of the world. Playing guys for 30+ minutes who would never have played a minute in past seasons. Don't go Capella on me and dampen a good moment for the program.

I've never made excuses for a loss. I'm always positive about my school. I was the only guy here who said they'd get in this year and I made the declaration after being trolled by, of all people, an NC "fan" (still not sure if he even went to the school). I'm just saying we're banged up and Dixon owns us. Two facts. I'll be yelling at the TV friday night like a crazy person. I once threw out my bed after an elite 8 loss. It was a new bed.

Just wanted to point out in our quarters pool that @Capella couldn't stay far enough away from Cuse.

Taking a half-day of PTO today and tomorrow.  And working from home tomorrow morning since I'll be up until 12:30AM.

The roughest day at work for me is always the SECOND Friday  :sleep:

The family that bought the funeral home has kept the Boeheim name: Second one down

When you drive into Lyons, there are signs welcoming you to the childhood home of Boeheim. He played basketball for the high school there. #21 I do believe

He's just been an upstate NY institution and it will be a sad day when he does hang them up.

I feel like Nevada still has a lot of good talent and Musselman will have them push the tempo and they can still shoot 3s, which can negate Texas's interior advantage.  I guess I just don't believe in Texas overall, also.

I'm pleased to know I'm still in your thoughts!  As for the trolling accusation, here's how the sampling of the conversation that I think captures the tone fairly well:

I say to you: print out the post you wrote, crinkle up the paper and jam it right up your ###. When Williams leaves UNC in shame, when your wins and titles are vacated, when your sanctions are announced I will celebrate like nobody has ever celebrated before. And when you're in the midst of crippling sanctions and SU beats UNC on your home floor, I will find you and rub your nose in it like a nose has never been rubbed in anything before. Your program is going down. Your titles will be vacated. Pain is en route. And the rest of the world will rejoice. :finger:

Kinda seems like you were doing the trolling, or something worse :shrug:   Don't get me wrong, it was great work. I enjoyed every minute of it and I'm often down for the sort of light S&M play you suggested. But I wasn't much more than a passenger on this ride.

As for the rest of your post: congratulations on winning a play-in game and earning a spot in the main draw. I did not think Cuse would make it, but they did. And I have a grad degree from UNC, one of four members of my family with a UNC degree. But we welcome all fans, no elitism in the Tar Heel fan base. Who wouldn't want to root for a successful program that turns out great kids?
