NE vs PHI next week (1 Viewer)

With McNabbs comments early in the season about the ring, something to the effect of they should give Philly their rings, I'm thinking NE has something special for him...
Joking or not, New England won't forget McNabb's ring comment after week 1...
McNabb was being 100% sarcastic with remark, and also said that it is ridiculous to think that any cameras had anything to do with their wins.
"One thing people are forgetting is that even if you have the answers to the test, you still have to take the test. If they have an idea of what's coming, those guys still have to be able to execute the play."
BB doesn't need to manufacture anything to motivate the players, there are plenty of real things to use.As far as the game goes, the Eagles are their weakest where the Patriots are their strongest, the passing game, so I don't expect a close one, they just don't match up well.Patriots: 45Eagles: 17

Brady does well against the blitz so I don't think the defense can stop the pats. Like others said. They will concentrate on westbrook. Belichick always tries to take away an offenses strongest part. they will let McNab try to beat them through the air. He does not have a lot of great weapons to accomplish that.

NE will dominate, but I still see Westbrook getting his share against the NE LB's. R. Brown got total of 109 yards against NE and the FINS put up 28 points, so I see the score NE 42 (2 TD's for Watson this week) and 28 Philly (Westbrook gets 3 td's)

New England is yet to do one thing this year. Shut a team out. If McNabb isnt able to go, theyre getting their first shutout. 52-0.
Please. If Miami can put up 28 on the Pats, I'm fairly confident the Eagles can score a couple points.... McNabb or no McNabb.

The line is Pats by 21 at the LV Hilton. I will bet the house on the Pats. Anyone that thinks this will be a close game is smoking some real good ^%$#!!
I've now seen the line at 22.5 to 23.5, so it is rising.I also don't see a O/U yet.I have to say my pick earlier looks pretty spot on.

I understand. A slight reach. But it was 85 degrees for a 1PM game in Miami that day. That's some serious heat for the big boys to maintain focus with a 35 point halftime lead. This next game will be at night in New England. And like I said, if Philly has to start a rookie for the 1st time at QB, its gonna get ugly. But anything can certainly happen.
If McNabb can't go, I'm guessing Feeley would get the start... not Kolb. And I'm not sure how the warm weather helped Miami score 28 points.

Feeley, Kolb, whats the difference? Cant help you understand how heat factors in when youre already up by 30 and youre playing dime coverage. Youre on your own there.
The difference is AJ Feeley isn't a rookie QB. Can't help you understand that difference either.Doesn't matter. I'm not saying the Eagles are gonna beat the Pats.... just saying they won't get shut out.

All the "Pats have no running game" comments are misinformed to say the least. Sure, the Pats rely heavily on the pass to jump out to big leads, but they have been very successful at running out clock in the 2nd halves of several games this year. I will admit they were probably better at it with Morris alternating series with Maroney, but their running game should not be underestimated.
I will go as far as saying Maroney is their worst RB behind Morris and Faulk. I am NOT impressed by Maroney at all. If he was on any other team wed be talking about him being a huge bust IMO.
Of RB with the same number or greater carries as Maroney, he ranks 7th in ypc. Last year using the same criteria he was 12th.

Did you miss the part where I said "if he was on any other team". In other words, product of the system. Hes overrated.

That would explain why the Pats yearly team ypc ranking since Belichick came to town has been: 28, 24, 27, 30, 18, 30, 18, and 10.

:pics: So youre gonna tell me their oline isnt amazing this year? And the fact that Brady is breaking all the records that teams dont focus on the run? Face it, Maroney hop skips and tiptoes more than Fred Astaire and Gregory Hines combined. Hes always getting hurt and never runs with power. Theres a reason he was splitting carries with a 50 yr old Corey Dillon last year and journeyman Sammy Morris this year. Its cuz he cant carry the full load and isnt a good goalline back. Morris looked much better than Maroney this year. Dont think itll matter for the Pats title hopes but that Morris injury was a tough one.

Nice call on the shutout anyway.
