I know there's quite a few Cincy fans on here if I am not mistaken. What are the chances he starts from here on out?

I just added him right before the games started. Of course I didn't start him though. Roy Williams is terrible in coverage and he's the reason they're not 4-0. I think Nedu deserves the chance to start. Is there anyone with some inside news?

Ndukwe >>>>>>> Roy, who should only be in there as an extra LB on obvious running downs.

Is Chini going to get more PT now? Or was this a one week thing? He is a FA in my league and I could use a better DB than Afalava.

what did Roy have to do with Leon tipping Orton's pass and Stokely running with it to the house? Roy was there to nail Marshall should the pass make it over Leon's outstretched hand, and it would have been near game over. Roy has played really well, sure he hasn't been great in coverage but he hasn't been the liability that comes with his past. he's brought one hell of a presence over the middle and and added some nastinesspeople(fans) have been clamoring for Ndukwe for years. plain and simple he looks really really good in shorts or in theory. there is a reason he hasn't locked down a starting job longterm and that the bengals brought in Roy.

The call for Ndukwe from an IDP perspective stems from his consistent numbers and regular big play production. The call for Ndukwe from a NFL observers perspective stems from observations that, while he has issues with run support angles and coverage reads, he's been a more dynamic player than guys like Dexter Jackson and Chris Crocker over the past two seasons. Those two veterans were as responsible for poor tackling and coverage lapses over the years as Ndukwe has been.I've no argument that Williams is playing well enough (in coverage as well as run support) to deserve the starting SS job today. Two of Ndukwe's biggest supporters made that argument last night on the Roundtable. Certainly, those of us looking for IDP production are willing to overlook fundamental deficiencies while looking for better numbers (Adam Archuleta, Keith Lewis, Michael Lewis, Brandon McGowan, Sean Jones, Bernard Pollard, Kevin Payne, Daniel Bullocks just to name a small percentage of safeties who've lost job due to inconsistent on-field play). However, last week's efforts make it clear that Ndukwe brings a dimension to the secondary that Crocker (and, in some respects, Williams) does not. Also in agreement on the bottom line here: The Bengals have made it clear that Ndukwe is somewhat of an option of last resort. If there's another viable veteran to play safety, Ndukwe's role will be limited.

Does he have any shot at all to overtake Roy Williams at SS? Or is Williams just too much of an asset against the run? Dynasty wise is Nduwke a must own?

Probably too much of an asset against the wallet.... Although Williams seems to be doing really well so far this year and helping his new team, I honestly think he is one of the more overrated players in the NFL. I thought Nduwke and White would have been the starters at the beginning of the season. I would stash Ndukwe for a bit longer for sure. I don't know what he is doing wrong to not get increased playing time, but every time he gets a chance he just makes things happen. I also watched him most of last year and I never noticed a problem with run support. If anything, he was constantly around the ball making plays. :bag: As long as Roy is healthy, I don't see then keeping him out of the lineup. Unless he really starts to become a liability.

Roy Williams should have been playing the ball. Instead he went for the big hit like he always does, and Stok;ey was able to make the big play.

if u watched the game or replay that is one hell of a ridiculous statement. Leon friggin batted the pass in the air like some 10feet before it got to Marshall/Roy. Roy was there and since Marshall went sliding to the ground to catch the pass when he thought it was gonna make it thru i think Roy trying to hit him was absolutely the right call. your statement must come from reading past press clipping and assuming not of what Roy has done this year or on that play.

Same argument as last year. Turned out to be a disappointment.

He may put up decent numbers time to time, but he's nothing to write home about. Nothing special, IMO.

he's played about the same amount of snaps as Roy, but has 10 more tackles. williams has graded out pretty good so far, better than ndukwe. ive watched 3 bengals games this year, imo, they are better against the run when williams is in. maybe ndukwe is a better all-rounder, but not by much.
