Need a quick computer rec (1 Viewer)

Wife and kids want an extra laptop computer for around the house. Would be mainly used for net surfing and playing minecraft. Because of the minecraft issue the kids want a pc because you can get more mods on it? (I'm still pretty clueless about minecraft.) Anyway, I just want something cheap to do the above, and easy to get and set up. I was thinking refurbished, but the guy I spoke with said I would need at least an I3 Intel processor, and more likely an I5, so that refurbished ones probably aren't the way to go. So, what do you think I should get? TIA

Idk, one guy suggested it. The way he was talking I assumed for frame rate.

Might wanna check the video specs for minecraft. As blocky as the graphics are, it still needs some 3-d capability that some of the onboard graphics(on of motherboards at least) don't always support. Of course, my oldest went through his. Minecraft phase a couple years ago and my other one is content to play on the 360.

That one is very similar to mine but mine has the I5 processor (bought in 2012). It has been a very good computer for me.

That one would be fine. Why would you need an i5?

Unless your looking for something extremely cheap, I would never go lower than an i5.
