Setting up a new Windows Laptop for my Daughter (1 Viewer)

She's 14 and this new laptop will hopefully get her through 4 years of high school. Its a Dell running Windows 11 Home. I hate the fact that the default is to get her a Microsoft account and she's tied to that personal account for everything she ever does on this laptop throughout eternity. Is it advisable to just have her use her own computer as a guest, or just bite the bullet and accept our data-hoarding overlords?
Any other tips on setting up a new laptop for a kid to use? We're busy today so going to get to it this weekend.

Create a Microsoft account, but you don't have to put real personal details, for birthday I always use 1/1/my birthyear or 1/1/kids birth year, etc for all non-critical accounts.

These companies don't need to know everything about us and that includes our birthdate.

Write everything down in stage storage in case you need to recover the account.
