12 team PPR - standard scoring except RBs get an extra .25 for every carry, so RBs tend to be overvalued in this league

My roster:
Winston, Taylor, Keenum
Gurley, McKinnon, Gio, J.Allen, Martin
AB, Evans, Cooks, DT, Hogan, Ty.Williams
Kelce, Engram, Brate

1.07, 1.11

Got this offer:
I give: Evans, McKinnon, 1.11
I get: CMC, T.Hill

I do like the upgrade from McKinnon to CMC but am I giving up too much in Evans?

I dont like this trade for you. I think Hill has uncertainty with Mahomes and Watkins in play. Evans is a proven piece, and mckinnon did well with limited touches in a different offense. Now with a coach who looks to play to mckinnons strengths, I think you have a rb who is very close in value to CMC for the coming years. 1.11 is still a great pick for rb or wr, or the first of the te and qbs. I would stay put.

Pass. The players are close enough in my opinion that the 1.11 doesn’t need to be there. The shannahan system churns out rbs. Evans is still a top dynasty asset. If you like the other guys better go for it, but you shouldn’t have to sweeten the deal with a 1st. Maybe you add something if you really want it to go through, maybe a 2nd at most.

No way!  If anything to give up Evans you could receive a first in that trade.  CMC should be a stud for a long time to come but Cam will continue to take goal line rushes.

I actually like McKinnon going forward but I would try to see if someone likes him more than me.  But Evans is the most valuable piece in that puzzle, so the trade doesn't make sense.

Run away from this deal, you are grossly undervaluing McKinnon. McKinnon is the bell cow in SF while CMC is still in a timeshare situation with CAP.

Not only CMC is in a timeshare but Cam also vultures 4 or more TDs every year which caps CMC's upside.

I kind of chuckled when reading this deal.  It's an easy pass.

I ended up making the deal without the 1.11, tossing a future 2nd instead - this league overvalues RBs because of the per carry bump.  I'm not sold on McKinnon to be honest (I know he's the 'bell-cow' but not sure how good he actually is) and I think CMC takes a big leap this year.  Evans is very good but Hill is no slouch either.  Tine will tell of course though...but I have set myself up very nicely to win now.

Next year maybe you'll listen when EVERYONE on here tells you the same thing...and you do the opposite.

LOL - Sometimes you just go with your gut.  And my gut told me to cash out on McKinnon while the hype is insanely high.  But if I'm wrong, I'm wrong...

Yeah, but IMO he doesn't change CMC's status too much - he was never going to be a 15-20 carry a game type of guy...
It may not do a lot but it will take TD opportunities away at a minimum.  Even if CJA just does what J-Stew did last year it hurts CMC.   Even before this I had the opinion that McKinnon would outscore CMC.....this news just clinches it for me.

Very possible.  Not much I can do now but I still prefer CMC to McKinnon in the long run anyways.  And CJA only has a 1 yr deal...

most of the talk is the RBs, but the key for me is Evans for Hill... and this is not even close.  I take Evans over Hill in value by a lot.  The .25 per carry is not that significant.  If I was offered Evans, McKinnon and 1.11 for CMC and Hill, I am all over that deal in getting Evans/McKinnon pieces.
