Need help: Impact TE's in the 08 draft (1 Viewer)

I don't scout college teams all that much, but i really want to know who, and how many, impact TE's will be in next seasons NFL draft. I'm trying to decide if i should stick with LJ smith for one more year in my dynasty league (only keep 15) and pick up someone like Daniel Graham or Mercedes Lewis and hope for the best. I missed out on Olsen and Miller in our rookie draft.

Anyway, who will be next years Olsen and Miller? Will there be more than 2 impact TE's?

Is there a site out there that rates current college players by position? This would help since no one seems to have any input?

The 2 top TEs in the country both play for the same team - the Missouri Tigers.Chase Coffman and Martin Rucker

The knock on them is that the "experts" don't see them as true TEs, but more as big WRs in the spread offense. The fact is, if you want impact TEs for fantasy football, these guys are the best in the country.

Look for them to combine for about 1,300+ yds and 15+ TDs on one of the most potent offenses in the country.

Here are links to their player bios... Notice both have very good football bloodlines

very interesting, thanks for the info!

I still like Martellus Bennett the best out of all senior/junior Tight Ends.
Bennett is a good blocker, but Coffman is twice the playmaker he is and doubled his stats while splitting with another stud TE.I see Bennett as Daniel Graham and I see Coffman as Todd Heap. The post was in reference to impact TEs and I don't think Bennett can hold Coffman's jock when it comes to stuff that matters to fantasy owners (like recs, yds, TDs, etc...).Either way, I'll be in my seat in Columbia, MO on Nov. 10 to watch all 3 of these guys play.

The name escapes me, and he's not eligible til '09, but there is a very good TE on Florida St. who was a true frosh last year.

I remember watching him a few games and came away impressed...too lazy to look up the name, anybody familiar?

Travis Beckum of Wisconsin is arguably the best pass catching TE in the nation...

http://cfn.scout.com/2/643687.html

The Badgers have three tremendous targets to count on led by All-Big Ten tight end Travis Beckum. A former defensive end, the 6-4, 221-pound junior made a quick transition to the offense as he led the team with 61 catches for 903 yards and five touchdowns. A matchup nightmare, he's fast, strong and athletic, but he's been more of a large wide receiver than an actual tight end. Now he's looking to become more of a blocker, but if he's making catches like he did last year, no one will notice what he's doing for the running game.

After week 1...T Rucker, Mizzou - 10 rec, 86 yds

C. Coffman, Mizzou - 7 rec, 43 yds, 1 TD
