Besides don't overpay for any player, are there any good pieces of advice for a newbie in an auction league with a 5 keeper maximum?
We do start 2 QBs in this league and 2 Defs in this league as well. Plus all TDs are worth 6 points.
Our salary cap is $90. So is it better to get a few studs for a hefty price or try to remain balanced with good but not great players.
I inherited this auction keeper team. Right now I can keep Chris Chambers for $3, Ray Rice for $2.50 and Heath Miller for $1.50. Otherwise, nobody else I am excited about.
I saw last years auction results and there were people paying $40.50 for LT, $34.50 for Brady(bad luck), $35 for AP & $32 for Manning. It seems a little risky to use 1/3 of your salary cap on one player. However, this could be a good strategy or a common strategy since I have never been in an auction league.
Any good advice would be appreciated. Any good articles would also be appreciated.
TIA
