Need some Macbook help (1 Viewer)

Mr.Pack

Footballguy
A buddy tried installing Pokerstars from a link from Pokerstars that other friends have used with no problems.

His mac is stuck and he can't do anything. He's tried to uninstall it but it says it's running. He did a hard reboot and the stars popup came right back. He's not a mac guy and neither am i.

Can anyone walk me through what he can do to get it uninstalled? Like talking to a 6yr old?

TIA

Power it off, then when you turn it back on hold down the shift key until you see the Apple logo and progress bar. That is supposed to be a “safe mode” boot and isn’t supposed to start up any extensions or programs.

Then, if you aren’t crippled by the pop up, go to the applications folder and drag anything pokerstars related to the trash.

I don’t mess with TimeMachine backups at all really, but if that was set up you can try rolling back to before he tried to install Pokerstars.
