I play in a league where we start one DL, LB, and DB off our non-starting team defense. In other words, we draft two team defenses and the each week we are free to chose the IDP's off the team defense we're not starting. I'm looking for some suggestions on defenses that will have a good combo of one DL + one LB + one DB. I would really like to focus on lower tier defenses that can be had late. An example from last year would have been Green Bay with Sharper/Barnett/KGB. We score 1/2 per tackle, 2 per sack, 4 per turnover recovery, 6 per TD (w/ TD distance bonus). So who are the crummy defenses with a couple of IDP studs.TIA.

from the top 3 standpoint, i would rank them:NYG

CHI

IND

MIA

ARI

SEA

STL

TEN

KC

CHI is a good team D, thats why i didnt include them - ogunleye/urlacher/green-brown is quite the combo, better than any above except maybe the giants.

DET is a little weaker - they no real stud DE - james hall is good, but not elite. they have no real stud LB - lehman would be if he was starting at MLB, but for now it sounds like they have him backing up all 3 positions. they have kennedy and holt in the Dbackfield, but again, i dont see either as a top 20 DB. really you are relegating yourself to a middling team D with a middling set of IDPs.
