Pats are a good/great team, but on paper there were many, many years the Redskins had an all star roster. The contrary view "New England could implode with too many personalities". The Colts are a very good team. They've beaten the Patriots, and the Patriots have beaten them. This season, though, I would be absolutely shocked if an undefeated Patriots team went into Indy and was not favored. The only way that would happen is if Indy was also undefeated going into that game, which, after road games @JAX and @CAR, would still leave them weary enough going into this game that it could be a pickem. The Pats will be coming off a home game against Washington, and would have to have beaten the Chargers and Bengals in nationally televised games to be undefeated at that point. I don't think there's anything controversial about what I said, but I can understand why you did.

As you can tell from my previous post I largely agree with your sentiment. The Chargers playoff win comes close to this scenario, but all it did was tie the game. And of course there were myriad Chargers mistakes involved to contribute to the New England victory.

BFred,We know all this, and we also know that it's a requirement of any true Patriot fan to rush to the defense of Brady when any negative criticism is delivered.I truly cannot remember when Brady delivered a TD drive to win a game. I know Brady has led 24 4th quarter and overtime winning drives. However, by my recollection Adam Vinatieri was the last person to touch the ball on most of them. You're the perfect guy to research this and find out how many of the 24 comebacks involved TDs and not FGs.It would be interesting to see this stat on all QBs not just Brady. I truly cannot remember when Brady delivered a TD drive to win a game. I know Brady has led 24 4th quarter and overtime winning drives. However, by my recollection Adam Vinatieri was the last person to touch the ball on most of them. You're the perfect guy to research this and find out how many of the 24 comebacks involved TDs and not FGs.

It would be interesting to see this stat on all QBs not just Brady. But Brady is a great place to start.

A lot of fans have since said that Belichick made the obvious call, but at the time, this was considered a pretty extraordinary game for a lot of reasons.

Another one was the overtime win in Miami in 2003, when Brady hit Troy Brown on a long distance pass to extend the Patriots' streak to overtake them for the lead in the division and break their streak of losing in Miami.
