New league question (1 Viewer)

I was looking at an NFFC Draft Champions League add and really liked the idea.

Each team drafts 26 players and starts 10 each week; Computer picks optimal lineup after scores are done each week and teams accumulate points during the first 16 weeks of the NFL season. The team with the most points wins the league title. There are no transactions or trades during the year; you dont even set starting lineups.

I am in several dynasty leagues and do not want to add more leagues and get in over my head. I thought this would be a good format b/c everybody loves to draft and it is minimal upkeep during the season.

Does MFL have a setting where you can run this type of league there? Has anybody done one of these leagues and how did you like it?

The Fan-Ex leagues use this type of "best-ball" format and run their leagues out of MFL. Send MFL an e-mail to confirm, but they should be able to handle it.It sounds interesting enough. Not the most dynamic in-season thing I've ever seen, but for good drafters, this might be their format.

I think this would be idea for those people that love to draft and get into 15 leagues and then half way through the year decide it is too much and neglect 1/2 of their leagues.

I was thinking making some of these leagues at $10-15 per person. Winner takes all. At these prices somebody could get into 5-10 of them and have fun drafting. They could manage their real money leagues and dynasties throughout the season and then check on these leagues as the season was winding down.....and maybe win some money!

ALL of the major FF competitions (WCOFF, NFFC, FFPC) have these Draftmaster or DraftChampion type events - both for big dollars at their live events and for small all the way to large entry fees online.

And you have hit on one of the reasons for their popularity - no in season maintenance so you can concentrate on the other leagues you have. The drafts in this format are quite different (both WCOFF magazine due out soon and Fantasy Sports Magazine which I think is already out or will be soon have examples of the drafts amongst successful, veteran players.

Anyone know of a free site that will run the league like yahoo or something that supports this format?
