New Orleans Homers..... (1 Viewer)

I have seen various conflicting reports on this. I am in a league (Sporting News Salary Cap Football) where kick and punt returns count for the individual player. Every punt return yard counts the same as a rush/receive yard. I am looking at Bush as I think he will have an awesome game vs. Indy, however if he is returning punts for sure that would definetly sway my opinion. Thanks in advance.

My take is that he will in special circumstances, like late in a close game where it could change the outcome. I think that he will do it some over the season, but not regularly.

Just found this too:

Sep 5 Bush might not return punts in Thursday night's game against the Colts, the Times-Picayune reports.

Recommendation: According to head coach Sean Payton, whether Bush returns any punts against the Colts will depend upon the situation and how much Bush had been used in the previous offensive series. "I'll start off in a similar fashion as a year ago," Payton said. "We've got (Bush) and Lance (Moore) both working with the punt return unit." Bush is clearly the more explosive of the two returners, but the Saints are cautious about exposing him to excess risk of injury or fatigue.

Well hopefully he will get a shot to return a few at least. I understand the risk to injury but Bush is one of the most explosive punt returners in recent memory. I can't see why they wouldn't put him in there. It's not like he is carrying the ball 25+ times a game.

word is Lance Moore and Stecker have return duty, but Id be willing to bet we see Bush make at least a return or two. Especially if the Saints are trailing late

If the Colts return coverage is anything like last year it STINKS.

Hopefully Bush will get a chance to at least return 1 or 2.

My money is that NO is down double digits in the 4th and we see Bush make at least one huge return
