why the sudden leap of Travis Henry and Javon Walker? Did I miss something...
Other than a belief in the offense in general my guess would be the statements which say Henry is going to get a huge workload this season and the fact the Broncos have no other WRs to trust right now other than Walker. He should see a ton of targets this season.

Using DD, Javon is WR6 in our PPR league. Just below Fitz and just above TJ, Harrison, Roy, and Wayne.

I like Javon but I'd probably take Fitz, Harrison, Roy and Wayne before him.

I have Walker in a keeper/ auction league and am holding him over for cheap as a WR1b - and looking to get a WR1a. I don't think if that wasn't the case, I would be looking at him as a WR1 and I for sure wouldn't put him in the same class as Williams, Fitz, Harrison, Wayne, et al.

This is something that I have recommended/asked for regarding David's projections. When they come out he should have a one line guide to anyone with changes as to why the change was made. I make my own projections, but would love to adapt them as the preseason goes alogn and having a one liner (Walker looks healthy in camp, but Marshall, Smith and Scheffler still injured so we project an increase in targets) on an attached Word document would be really useful. I think that would be more helpful than the actual numbers.

Here is a blog post I wrote about Walker's pre-season emergence in Denver (also story from Denver linked in post). Basically, Walker has been making a lot of impressive catches in practices and looks like a man on a mission this year. He has all the ingredients for a great season ahead of him, as I note in the blog post.

About time people realize that Walker is one of the top WRs in the NFL. He's twice as good as Chad Johnson IMO.

And Henry is just in a money situation.

I cannot speak for others, but I really like Walker this year. I see ahuge year for him. With the LJ holdout and Gore injury, the RB rankings for RB3 through RB12 or 13 are pretty up in the air, imo. These RBs are all so close that I could not fault someone for ranking Henry (or other rb) one way or another

There was some concern about Walker's durability and Henry's load-carrying. Bloom and Co. have been reporting back (as have other outlets) that Walker looks good and Henry is in for lots of carries. Thus, the bump.

That's pretty much it, plus the mess of WR2 right now even with Marshall having issues increases Javon's and Travis' value.Bear in mind, rankings are subscriber content so we can't explain every tweak, but near the top we can certainly discuss.I will also mention I bumped down a favorite TE of mine due to a knee issue that is lingering (Crumpler).

If you look at the games that Cutler played in and then look at Walkers stats, it does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
gotta remember Cutler never had reps with Javon when he took over for Plummer last year. He was more used to Marshall/Scheffler and other guys. With OTAs/TC and now preseason games, Cutler should be more comfortable with Javon.

Judging from the chatter coming from camps, Cutler hasn't had any troubles at all finding Javon.Anyway, I posted a ton about Walker in the spotlight thread, but here are a few of the jucier tidbits:

Percentage of touchdown conversions to targets in the red zone (WRs with 25+ targets 2004-06)

Player Targets TD Percentage

Larry Fitzgerald 39 15 0.384615385

Marcus Robinson 30 11 0.366666667

Javon Walker 28 10 0.357142857

Terrell Owens 48 17 0.354166667

Marvin Harrison 69 24 0.347826087

Deion Branch 26 9 0.346153846

Joey Galloway 36 12 0.333333333

Roy Williams 40 13 0.325

Darrell Jackson 38 12 0.315789474

Numbers from between the 6 yard line and the 20 yard line

Player Year Targets Tds Percentage

Marvin Harrison 2004--2006 50 13 0.26

Donte Stallworth 2004--2006 27 7 0.259259259

Here's a list of points-per-target from last season for every WR with 100+ targets. Generally, this list will highlight which WRs were efficient at converting opportunities into points.

1.41 - Marvin Harrison

1.40 - Javon Walker

1.39 - Darrell Jackson

1.35 - Reggie Wayne

1.32 - Marques Colston

1.31 - Plaxico Burress

1.30 - Terrell Owens

1.29 - Lee Evans

1.29 - Terry Glenn

1.26 - Steve Smith

Oh, and before anyone begins to say that last year was a 1-year aberration... in 2004, do you know how many points Javon Walker scored per target? 1.52!!! That ranked him as fourth in the league behind Wayne (1.70- remember, this was during Manning's mind-blowing season), Owens (1.62- the year he got 14 TDs in 14 games), and Holt (1.53), and ahead of Marvin Harrison (1.46) and Muhsin Muhammad (1.50). Talk about some elite company.
