There are certain teams that just should not have mascots or cheerleaders, that should be too proud and old-school for that kind of stuff. The Steelers are top of that list. Ridiculous.

Mascots are often caricatures. They in effect poke fun at their target, which is itself. They flop around, beat themselves on the head with foam toys, and generally act like imbeciles. You are SUPPOSED to laugh at them..

Thank god, I feel like we won't need an organized battle against the Mascot since most will express their distaste for it, but I expect someone will ask me to sign a petition. I mean I can't even see this thing appealing to kids, which is really the only use for a mascot anyway.

Well, in the interest of accuracy, I've never seen BGP with any foam toys.
