New Strength of Schedule (1 Viewer)

Calling Mr. Drinen...

I don't quite like you're new setup for the "Strength of Schedule." Your old version not only gave me a projection of points for the position against it's opposition, but you made idiot-proof by adding the blue & red color coding scheme.

I know I'm not the most technically sound individual, but I just can't comprehend your new system. For example, I was looking at comparative starts for my TEs the rest of the year - and I can't tell who's good & who's not.

Plus / minus the average or opponenet doesn't tell me what they're averaging for that position...

Sadly I must be an idiot, because I can never remember what the blue & red mean...always drove me nuts...I always expect them to be red (stop / bad play) and green (go / good play)...

Red and green makes sense to me

I agree the new format is a disaster... I understand it for WR but for D is a positive a good or bad matchup???

Please make it more idiot proof

Also why not have a feature to sort the list by:

Week matchup (you can pick the week) or

overall rating

14-16 schedle

etc

That was the beauty of it... I could never remember either, and he had it spelled out in the first paragraph: Red = / Blue =

Agreed that you need to add back the color coding somehow. That makes it so much easier to get information at a glance. However I must say the ability to sort the lists by certain weeks, etc has the potential to be a helpful improvement

Having the SOS adapt to the scoring systems is nice, but it doesn't really help much for Team Defenses (which seems to be one of the most schedule-dependent positions) unless you enhance the scoring options for TDs in the profiles. The differences between my D/ST scoring systems is mostly in how they treat points and yards against, and those aren't even considered in the profiles.

Something that will help is clicking on the sortable header. In this case, if you're looking for a player (pick a position) for any given week, click on that week in the headers and it will re-sort from best-to-worst for that week. This, at least IMHO, is better than the color coded scheme as it gives you real-time flexibility and you can read the "best" plays on the schedule from top down instead of searching through the grid for the colors.

Thanks for the great work on SOS Drinen! I use it ever week. New version has potential. How about coloring top 8/bottom 8 on that one to get the best of both worlds?

red = hotblue = cold

that's how i think of it...

What happened to the color-coding on the old version? It doesn't seem like it would be a lot of work, and it made it very easy to see good/bad match-ups with a quick glance.

Dear FBGs,

Thanks for bringing back the old format. Now would it be too much trouble to put the red and blue back in? You see, I can't read numbers, I can only identify colors.

Sincerely,

Your Biggest Fan

Not sure if you're agreeing with me or if you're trying to be a wise guy. If it's the former, then thanks. If it's the latter, don't you have something better to do? I never said that I can't read numbers, just that the colors make it easier to see streaks of "easy" games or "hard" games.

Huh? I'm just saying I want colors. I don't even know who you are or what you said....

 Colors were a huge help. Bring 'em back.

To say something different: I like both versions very much :yucky:

In my opinion the new version included better against which player the defense plays. It's a big difference to play against players like Romo and Brady (like BUF) or losman, alex smith and frye (PIT).

The new version is a little bit unfamiliar, but also great !

Thx for your good work !

Michael

:missing: I also like the color-coding and would appreciate getting it back.
