So, when it comes to drafting, how much weight do you put into SOS?

I find that I sometimes use SOS as a tiebreaker when I'm more or less in flip a coin territory on a couple of players?

To be honest, I'm finding this analysis useless this year for some reason, pre draft. This is frustrating because once you're in season, matchups are so damn critical.

Anyways, curious if there are any new tools available that help here as you prepare for the draft. Otherwise, thinking of throwing this analysis out the window until the season starts.

Thanks

I put no weight into SOS. It changes so much year to year I believe it's kind of an added complication that really doesn't help.

I generally don't really worry about bye weeks either until late in the draft or as a tie break if I can't really decide between a couple players.

I also don't worry about playoff schedule during the draft but start to look at that for in season trades as teams start to show who is good and who is not good.

I'm leaning this way.

One place it's useful: Picking early season Defense matchups against opponents (such as the Cinci D vs. NE).

I do look for wild swings in yearly SOS when projecting. So if one team had a really easy schedule last year, but a tough one this year, it will affect what I project, but not by a whole lot.

This. But outside of weekly streaming I pay little attention. What looks like an easy late schedule could change due to injuries and players resting for their playoffs.

Agree on thinking a team or player could have an easy/hard late schedule. Too much changes within the season.

One spot where I think SOS would be great is early in the season. I believe in winning September. You get out to 4-0 or 3-1, etc. and you really can lean on managers who are struggling at 0-4 or 1-3 and panicking.
