I run a 12 team league we been in existence for 15 yrs . This yr we're finally going to PPR. At first I was excited thinking all the Wr/RB pts would increase therefore increasing there value, but the more I think of it yes there pts will go up it seems to me the bigger beneficiary of this is the QB position!

We have unique scoring all td's under 40 yds 6 pts all td's over 40 yds 9pts 6 pt bonuses for milestones 100 yds rush, 300yds passing etc.... Starting lineup consists of 1qb 1rb 1 wr 1 te 1 k 1 def/st and 3 flex wr/RB

Help me with this is my thinking off here seems to me while PPR gives wr,RB,te more pts it minimizes difference from the top to the bottom while QB remain unchanged doesn't this make it easier to draft QB EARLY??

Simplistically qb's are throwing more for more yards than 15 years ago- so their importance has increased. Wide-outs have increased in importance especially possession and slot. Running backs that catch a lot of passes obviously stay important. The big hit is to RB's that don't catch much obviously they are PPR dinosaurs.

Ok I understand that but how does PPR effect the draft I used to be a wait on a QB guy and that won me a title last yr drafted Stafford in 6th rd Cam as FA but I don't see that 6th rd gem out there this yr and in my league most playoff teams have a top 5 fantasy QB

PPR affects the draft because now there are many more options in the early rounds (i.e. you can totally justify going WR/WR/WR in the first 3 rounds). In non-PPR, there is much more emphasis on RBs, especially in the 1st round since the number of workhorse RBs is limited these days.

Adding PPR essentially limits the importance of obtaining a top 5 pick in your draft. Hell, I actually prefer the 1.12/2.01 when it's PPR.

:goodposting: I have won more drafting from the late spots as opposed to drafting from the early spots. To the original poster, welcome to PPR. You will like it a lot and IMO will never look back.

VBD. Ppr raises the value of a lot of players which actually can create even more value for the very top of the elite- especially the top few Rbs that catch a lot of passes (by seperating them from elite backs that dont). The same applies to TEs in a big way- in PPR the top two TEs dwarfed everybody else. They will be going very high in Ppr drafts since they provide such a relative advantage.

PPR allows for much more flexibility with your draft.

I personally never take a QB in the first 7 rounds, some people prefer not to run a QB by committee though. But I enjoy having better WRs then everyone else.

The composition of your rosters plays a more important role in ppr leagues. I play in a 2 RB 1 RB/WR 3 WR 2 TE league primarily the balance in value between RBs and TEs is pretty comparable. The first 3 rounds typically have equal numbers of all positions drafted (sometimes leaning heavy with RBs).
