Hi, I am just playing around with this at a very beginner/casual level. Reading through this has been very helpful. Played the free contests last week and now have a whole $2 from Fanduel to redeploy, Anyway, hope you will indulge me anyway with some basic questions. If anyone else has any "beginner" questions, feel free to add them to the thread.

1)Does Fanduel have beginner contests or just DraftKings? I can't find them searching on beginner or rookie, I am going to do a double up with my $2 "windfall".

2) If I am not playing any Thurs. players, is there any strategic reason to choose a game from a Thurs. slate where other players may still use them vs a Sunday slate? Intuitively, it feels like the larger pool is better, allowing for less overlap, but I have no idea if that has merit.

Thanks.

Generally Thursday game players score less on average, at least at QB/WR/TE so playing a Thursday contest but fading the players makes sense from that standpoint. Also because some people just have to get early action Thursday players will always be over owned this can really work to your advantage if you think the Thursday game will be lower scoring. This week with Denver's strong DT and questionable offence I think the Thursday game players are a great fade.

Thanks. In season-long fantasy, I always hated Thursday players. If they under-perform, you have to wait three days hoping for a counter-balance. So I doubt I'd ever play a Thursday player "voluntarily" without an extremely compelling case.
