I play in a league where our flex player can be a qb so we basically play 2 qbs all year because they score so many points. I have the number 4 slot in a snake draft. Last year 10 qbs went in a row. I know the rankings show I should take foster but there won't be an elite qb left by the 2nd round. Last year the playoff champ won from the 11 spot taking 2 rbs and finding newton late but the 4 spot won the points total(we split the prize money into 3 spots points and 3 playoffs). The 4 spot took brady and found stafford in the 2nd. I'm assuming rodgers brady and brees will go 123 this year leaving me this choice if not it's an easy decision. Stafford had a career year last year and they have no running game play in a dome added a stud ot in reif, but I'm scared of injury history, an improved defense (meaning less throwing needed), and of course the madden curse on Johnson. Newton shattered all rookie records and looks like he could be the best qb in the nfl but he lost his rt and didn't add any weapons plus everyone warns of sophmore slumps and steve smith is one more year older and the defense could improve with keuchly. I know some people will say foster anyway but with losing 2 o linemen one of them a stud just can't see taking him when I know I could get cjohnson, t richardson, mcfadden or someone real good rb in the 2nd.

Stafford. Newton started strong and went south the rest of the season. No 300 yard passing games after week 4 and no 2000 yard passing games after week 13.

if you take away half his rushing td's and replace his two 400 yard games with his average, he is still at 20 ppg

i think he will take a step back but any time ive projected him, i end up in that range

stafford is still an injury risk in my eyes. 1 for 3, even with a bad o-line isn't good enough for me. cam seems a lot safer and has more upside to me.

My only concern is if team defenses start to play against Cam differently. They may make him prove he can throw to the others not named Smith. Ill take Stafford and not look back

Cam all day, everyday. Big, strong, dual threat.

Stafford......one healthy year under his belt. A heck of a player....but I will take IMO the best all around fantasy QB not named Aaron Rodgers.

You did not post points per passing TD. That would color this debate differently depending upon whether it is 4 points or 6 points.

In a 4-point per passing TD league, Cam wins all day long. in a 6-pointer, it is closer.
