Thinly veiled fantasy question. These are mid-round guys available in a long-term keeper league. Melky is long gone, but would otherwise be on the listMelky is only 23! HELLO!!!
That was kind of my thought too. No concerns about Kemp being stuck in a logjam w/ Jones, Ethier, Pierre, Young & Repko?shadyridr said:Last year I said Markakis would break out. This year out of the ones you listed only Kemp has a chance to break out IMO. Maybin & Bruce are too young. Ellsbury & Milledge are both a year away IMO. Bourn is just not any good IMO.
No reason to veil here. This forum gets just a little more action than the test forum did and surely will meet the same fate.Thinly veiled fantasy question. In that case, definitely Kemp. Re the PT issue, Repko will be sent down and Delwyn Young is a bench player. From what I can tell Ethier and Pierre are more likely to job-share than Kemp.Thinly veiled fantasy question. These are mid-round guys available in a long-term keeper league. Pence was my first thought as well.Hunter PenceOf the ones listed, Maybin.
No concerns on Kemp's playing time. He will start in right. His potential for 30-40 HRs and 20+ SBs is huge. He is a stud in the making. A Jones is the undistputed CFer.Ethier looks to be starting in left as he has outplayed Pierre by too much this spring to overlook. He is also a better all around player then Pierre. If benched, Pierre will cry and pout and demand a trade. Repko is fragile but has talent. After the Pierre benching and susequent trade, Repko will be the 4th OF when healthy. Young is young and has options. I think he can play a few positions too. That was kind of my thought too. It only took 14 replies to get from the Next Great Outfielder to Nate McLouthChris B Young has the making of a dangerous outfielder as well. If you're looking for late rounders that are the near future they won't be there. Nate McLouth can be had in the late round or even on waivers and could have a bit of an impact.

INSANE spot starter against lefties, he carried me in August last year, just devastating.I like Matt Diaz to be an under the radar good performer.
This is aI like Matt Diaz to be an under the radar good performer.
Actually, that's the best thing for him. The pressure of leading off opening the season is probably a bit much for him at this stage in his development. Look for him in May/June to come up and succeed.Maybin got demoted today. Don't pick him.
My first thought of this thread was to find the Pence of last year this year. Or Braun for that matter. Those two guys helped win alot of leagues last year, I know this first hand.Pence was my first thought as well.Hunter PenceOf the ones listed, Maybin.
and he is rumored to be a full timer this year, I picked him up in one league and have him on my radar in my two shallow leagues, missed him in my deep one though.INSANE spot starter against lefties, he carried me in August last year, just devastating.I like Matt Diaz to be an under the radar good performer.
Agreed, although I am still surprised the Fish went through with the move. I anxiously await my competition dropping him so I can scoop him up in a month.Actually, that's the best thing for him. While it may be the best thing for him, it certainly doesn't bode well for him to be the correct answer to this poll question. And if you are suggesting he is going to bat lead off when he returns, I don't think that is going to happen. HanRam seems to have that spot locked down.MAC_32 said:Agreed, although I am still surprised the Fish went through with the move. It's insane that Milledge has fallen so off the radar, in 160 some odd AB's he put up a 105 OPS+, and nothing in his minor league track record suggests that this is a fluke. Did I mention he did that as a 22 year old? Milledge is a very special player, who if he stays healthy will be a perennial All-Star.Milledge was a big time prospect who fell off the radar a bit, but if he spends the year batting 2nd in front of Zimmerman, there's a lot of value to be had with him.
Ankiel is the OF on that team that will break out this year.Chris Duncan. The only thing that's kept him from having back-to-back 30 home run seasons is injury.
