NFBC Style Leeg again? (1 Viewer)

If no one is interested that's fine.

I don't mind running it this year but we need to start drafting soon if this is going to happen.

Same as last year, NFBC rules...

15 Teams, Roto, 2 C, MI, CI, 5 OF, 2 U, 9 Pitchers - 5 x 5

We got 15 People?

Let's say 50 bucks? Less if that's the sticking point on not being interested. I have paypal. Or someone else who's been around longer can hold the money. I really don't care.

Trying to drum up interest. I thought it was a good league last year.

Who the f do I need to kick in the Jimmy to get this thing rolling.

For Christs sake, Fins Dynasty hasn't even posted in here yet. Was the league that ####ty last year?

Let's light this candle.

15 teams, NFBC scoring rules. If I have to drive to Atlantic City for a league of this style I'm going to be seriously ticked off.

Damn...now I have an excuse to go to Atlantic City for a weekend.

NFBC has satellite leagues which are just as good. No drive to AC necessary.
Can you tell me more? I'm a complete novice with these types of leagues. I was looking at the payouts and the rake seems ridiculous. Would much prefer just running the same style w/ 15 people locally. Problem is, I run 2 leagues and neither of them have any owners interested in this in-depth of a league.Would love to compete in a satellite league. I know their is a webpage but can you quickly tell me how it works?

Not really sure why you'd say that. All the rules were followed and the money was collected and paid out promptly.

nah it wasnt ####ty, those were harsh words. the leeg was run very well. i just didnt have enough time and was unprepared to do a league of that magnitude last year... somehow still finished 5th i think. its a lot of work. id actually consider doing it again. lol.

You are right about the rake - usually payouts are 80% or so. However, because they are so well run, I never have an issue. These are all no trade leagues, and free agency is done with $1000 play $. Use it during the season, but that is all you get.The leagues had been drafted in the past on MockDraftCentral, which was great. However, Fanball just bought NFBC and is developing their own software for drafts. It is supposed to be unveiled soon. There is never a question about payouts. NFBC was and still is backed by a viable corporation.15 team leagues are a bear, but I love them. The competition is a bit easier in the lower cost satellite leagues because the new guys try those out first. If you want any specific questions answered you can always PM me and ask here. You can always call Greg Ambrosius or Tom Kessenich, the guys who developed NFBC. I've talked with both of them several times about baseball or football leagues. They are always willing to talk with you and explain things. Their number should be on the NFBC site.

Bump...let's see whats out there for interest.
Over the last 5 days, I've organized and filled two $250 auction leagues using NFBC rules. 15 teams, mixed leagues, $267 budget for 30 lineup spots. I did this because NFBC decided not to organize these satellite leagues, so I decided to do it myself. These auction leagues will be great practice in preparation for NFBC's Auction Championship. The big difference is I'm paying out 100%.

I started a 3rd league this morning, a $125 auction league for Wednesday, March 17 at 8 est. Payouts for this $125 league will be: 1st - $1,175, 2nd - $500, and 3rd - $200.

This league will be conducted on ESPN with its software and league management.

If you an interested, send a PM to me. If fill in any details or any your questions.

Possibly interested, but I'm a bit uncomfortable at those stakes with someone I don't know. Have you run leagues with internet based folks in the past that I could check with, or better yet any FBGs?

I like the 100 percent payout prospect.

If anyone is interested, we have 13 of the 15 teams filled. Still looking for 2 more teams to close this one out. Send a PM if you are interested. Thanks.

I'm looking to run a NFBC style satellite league myself. Can ESPN replicate all of the NFBC rules?

I don't mind running the FAAB offline if necessary, but can I restrict it to no trading, input the add/drops as commish (if the FAAB has to be offline), and can the lineup change deadlines be set the same?

I was looking at the NFBC draft style league btw, not auction.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do a slow draft with pre-selects on ESPN?

Thanks guys.
