It sucks that the disgusting NFC West is going to take a spot from a good team. There might not be an 8-8 team in that bunch.

This I agree with 100%. You could have a 10-6 team stay home, while a 7-9 team goes into the playoffs. That's just wrong.

Ummm...no. I'd feel the same way if the Bears were 2-8 and the Vikings, Packers and Lions were all 7-3. And it was TB that we were talking about getting it at 7-9. The point is fairly simple: The playoffs should be for the best teams. A team that finishes 7-9 is clearly not superior to a tema that finishes 10-6 - especially when (and by very virtue of the fact that they ARE 7-9 and won their division, proves the point) they are 7-9 in a very weak division and the 10-6 team is coming from a much stronger division. Even with the wild card system in place, it seems unfair that a team is given entry to the playoffs simply because they play in an horifficly bad division. Simply put, it will most likely be the case that the 3rd best team in the NFC South or or 2nd best in the North or East will be a better team by virtually any measuring standard you want to use, then the teams that wins the NFC West. News flash: the thread does not revolve around you nor your perceived homer slightedness.

Interesting to see all the crow in here about the Bears either not making the playoffs or just getting a wild card.
