NFC South Showdown **Carolina (6-9) at Tampa Bay (7-8)** (-4, 40.5) (1 Viewer)

One of these teams will be in the playoffs. One of these teams will be in the playoffs. I had to say it twice because I didn't believe myself the first time I said it. At least I'll know one of the two teams I can "fade" on my Playoff Contest Team. Vita may be out for The Bucs so I can see The Panthers having success running the ball, that's what they do best. But then there's that GOAT guy on the other side. His receivers are healthy and it looks like he may get one of his offensive linemen back. Tough one to figure but I'll say it's close all day and HE leads a late drive for a score that wins it...

Tampa Bay- 27
Carolina- 24

I guess we did have this game thread after all

Tampa Bay, everyone not named Tom Brady, the entire rest of the team wants no part of the post season
They are not interested in getting waxed at home in the 1st Round of the Playoffs

Most Bucs fans are just over it too. Not even remotely fun to watch.

Great job by Carolina
Rhule looks even worse as an NFL coach
Fired! Fired! Fired!
Just a few weeks into 2022
Almost a sure fire Top 3 pick in the draft for a team that needs a franchise QB
And they are going to roll into the Playoffs at 7-10
And set the franchise back another 5 years missing out on top generational talent at QB
Like they've done for the last 2-3 seasons trying to rebuild but not actually rebuild

On the plus side, Darnold has almost looked competent.

You sorta understand what I am saying though, right?
I get it, Darnold looks OK but they are never going to jump start the team and propel forward until they get a real franchise QB
Them making the Playoffs, winning the Division, just masks the problems.
Is Coach Steve coming back next year?

Other than the coach, we’re saying the same in Tennessee.

Just coming out of a Moet and Chandon Imperial Star
Just getting ready to enter another Moet and Chandon vortex...

Wait a minute, the Bucs won? Seriously?!
So the Dallas showdown is real?

The Punter should be player of the game.
Adjusted for difficulty, that was arguably the best punt in NFL history. Dude was running away from a defender to his left, kicked the ball with guys both in front and behind him, and it was downed inside the 5. That's like a QB throwing a perfect in stride pass 40 yards downfield, while getting hit by 2 defenders, while throwing across their body.

Not just because of this play, but his performance all season, Jake Camarda might already be the best punter in the NFL as a rookie.
