This afternoon I thumbed through the NFL.com Fantasy Mag at my local Safeway Market. Boy, was I disappointed. It can be easily argued that most fantasy mags are filled with old information, but this one just screws it up. You'd think NFL.com could get a fantasy mag right with their exclusive access to most content. Nope, they produced a product that can't even be taken seriously.
Good Points:
Graphics/Pictures are clean
Color used on high quality paper (good for wiping ####)
What kills it: No rookies in the player rankings.
Say what? Yes, they don't have any rookies ranked. Ummm, even if you don't think Reggie Bush is a top 40 RB, you sure as heck need to recognized that he was drafted and that he will affect Decue McAllister. They don't even act like there was a rookie class in the ranking writeups.
They do mention some of the rookies in the team writeups, but they're in there as an afterthought. It's like they wrote most of the mag in April, and rushed the quick occasional blurb on the rookies.
Save yourself $8. Thumb through it at the store and put it back on the shelf. I pitty the poor first year FF player who picks this thing up and uses it as their primary draft tool.
