NFL.com's mock FF draft (3 rounds) (1 Viewer)

OK so it's a bit early.......but I know there are more than a few gubmint workers out there w/nothing better to do:

E. James at #20, is laughable. So is KJ at #27, will he even play in 2007?! Jamal Lewis at #32? haha!

BRANDON JACOBS at #35, a guy who hasn't started an NFL game yet?!? I understand the idea is that he could develop into a great starting RB, but, wouldn't you rather have Andre Johnson somewhere in the top 36 instead, I mean, no mention of AJ is an absolute JOKE!! the dude grabs 103 balls for over 1000 yards, with David Carr throwing to him.David Carr, for pete's sake!

and now the talk is that Houston will get a new QB ( Plummer?). anyways, how a guy like AJ, an absolute stud, is left of this list, is beyond me.

Mike Fabiano needs to have his head examined, he was lousy with CBS, by the looks of it, he's no better with NFL.com.

Brandon Jacobs at 35 is way too high.
Brandon Jacobs at 35 is way too low if the Giants opt to go with him as their featured back. At this point we don't know who else will be on their roster.
FWIW According to Reese, they don't plan to have just one back and will draft or sign another
I caught this in another thread . . .
Report: Bills put McGahee on trading block

ESPN.com reports that the Bills have made it known at the NFL Scouting Combine that Willis McGahee is available in a trade.

We're only surprised it's taken this long for reports to leak out. The Giants are the first time to show interest, saying they will investigate. Giants GM Jerry Reese said, "We're looking for Brandon (Jacobs) to probably carry the ball 20 times and for another running back (to carry) 15 times." Feb. 24 - 5:04 pm et

If that is really the plan, that would get the G-men 560 carries between two backs. By comparison, Barber and Jacobs combined for 423 last year, so clearly the 20/15 total is never going to happen. But if we use the same ratio of close to 60/40 based on last year's carry totals, that would still get Jacobs 250 carries. If we look at touches from last year instead of straight carries at the same ratio, Jacobs would get up to the 290-300 touch range even with a 60/40 split.

I personally don't see the Giants giving the ball to RBs 500 times with Barber gone but Jacobs seems to be in line for a decent amount of work, or so it seems at this point.
