Any grown *** man who cares that much about another dude's shoes needs therapy.

I resisted them forever, but found myself throwing on my son's crocs when I needed to run outside to take out the garbage or whatever. Then I'd borrow them for yardwork or washing the car, etc. just to not mess up my sneakers. Finally my wife got me my own pair last year. Still wear them when working outside around the house, and will also chuck them on when driving the kids somewhere and not planning to get out of the car. Then last week I had to run to the quick mart to get some milk and just wore them in. Also wore them to Home Depot yesterday.

Are they hideous? Yes. Have I reached the age that I officially no longer give a ****? Also yes.

My Crocs are strictly a backyard / deck thing, for BBQing etc. I might wear them at 6:45AM driving my daughter to work but that's the extent of it.

Sure, that’s how it starts. It’s a gateway usage. Next thing you know it’s weddings, bar mitzvahs, funerals, formal dinners, maybe a bris.
