Was just reported on Comcast Sports Network. Snyder said how much? And gave a check! If this is true. This is a bad, bad image for the NFL

I'm surprised they did that. They didn't fine Plummer when he wore a Tillman sticked after the league sponsored sticker day. just made him take it off for the next game. Gonna be hard to put a positive spin on that. Was just reported on Comcast Sports Network. Snyder said how much? And gave a check! If this is true. This is a bad, bad image for the NFL
yeah....I am normally not banding to gether to say how offended you are at something.....because it never accomplishes much, but someone needs to make sure this gets play on every major news program in the US TOMORROW. Completely uncalled for.
But they already did. Plummer did the same fineable thing and they waived the fine because of the circumstances.yeah....I am normally not banding to gether to say how offended you are at something.....because it never accomplishes much, but someone needs to make sure this gets play on every major news program in the US TOMORROW. Completely uncalled for.NFL would have done the same thing if it were Damien Nash's #, Darrent Williams' # or any other players number. They allowed the number on the helmets for all teams, but its against the rules to wear unapproved items on an NFL player's jersey.
Allowing the 'Skins to do whatever they want, EVEN IN THIS EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCE, is not a slippery slope the NFL wants to go down. These kind of decisions are why the NFL is the best run league in sports. Allowing "exceptions" and "one-ofs" is a great way to create organizational discontent.
But yeah COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR!!!111!.
everything we do after a person dies is for the living. If putting his # on their uniforms helps them grieve.....I can't see why someone would have a problem with that......but I am not an ### about things like this.........Da Guru said:They have already honored Taylor. There have been numerous players that have been killed in the NFL.
Putting a number on your uniform does not mean squat, the players are doing that for themselves. Do something behind the scenes for Taylors family if you really want to honor Sean.

Is there at least one news link to this? I don't see it anywhere. Thanks.ChrisCooleyFan said:Was just reported on Comcast Sports Network. Snyder said how much? And gave a check! If this is true. This is a bad, bad image for the NFL![]()
As mentioned, they already have his number on their helmet and are free to keep it throughout the season as I understand it. I can see how it could seem pointless to someone who did not have a relationship with Taylor......however the Skins players were his teammates and friends so I can see how it would be very pointed for them.As mentioned, they already have his number on their helmet and are free to keep it throughout the season as I understand it. I agree, if the want to still honor Sean other than on their helmet wear a Sean Taylor t-shirt under their jersey. As mentioned, they already have his number on their helmet and are free to keep it throughout the season as I understand it. Yeah why don't you send them a letter telling them how you think the should honor Taylor.....I'm sure they would be interested.I agree, if the want to still honor Sean other than on their helmet wear a Sean Taylor t-shirt under their jersey. As mentioned, they already have his number on their helmet and are free to keep it throughout the season as I understand it. Wear it under and honor Taylor, or wear it on their jersey and accept the fine. They know the rules going in. I could care less. This was about complaining about the fine.Yeah why don't you send them a letter telling them how you think the should honor Taylor.....I'm sure they would be interested.I agree, if the want to still honor Sean other than on their helmet wear a Sean Taylor t-shirt under their jersey. As mentioned, they already have his number on their helmet and are free to keep it throughout the season as I understand it. I agree..and I applaud the NFL for going against their policy and letting the players wear Taylors number on their helmets.I think what the Redskins did was a wonderful thing. I am certainly proud of their actions. I understand the NFL's position and their need to enforce the rules. Hopefully all the players, management and the NFL can get together and settle this nicely. Afterwards, hugs and holding hands for everyone. This really is a chance for everyone to come together and hugs never hurt anyone.

Hopefully more truth here than the earlier news. Also, would be very cool if Taylor still gets an honorary nod to the Pro Bowl, and the NFC squad does the missing man formation to start the game. Some of the blog from Jason La CanforaAlso, a lot of you guys have asked me about the patches the Redskins are wearing for Sean Taylor. From what I have heard the NFL originally said there were rules against a team wearing a patch to commemorate a player, but after Dan Snyder called Commish Roger Goodell, I am told the Commish was completely on board with the idea. Not sure if the Redskins will continue to wear the patch all season, but am awaiting word on that. Also, the team will continue to list Sean on all rosters and flip cards this season, and the organization also had some behind the scenes talks with the league to ensure Sean remained on the Pro Bowl ballot, from what I gather. Kudos to them for that.
