LOL - add Garret Wilson who I have in multiple leagues to go with Breece. I knew it was a tough matchup against the Bronco's defense but I figured the game would be out of hand at this point and the Jets would be getting me lots of garbage time points against a prevent defense. :suds:
 
They have a QB who cannot run a conventional offense, one decent WR, and like 3 interesting RBs.

They should be running RPO, rollouts, heavy screen game, like halfway between early BAL Lamar, and what Reid does in KC. Anytime Fields back there scanning the field like a real QB, it's bad.

Cut down his choices, cause he ain't taking the 3rd choice anyway.

I did not (but I will) but I've been talking **** about coaches running it up the middle on 2nd and long since the mid 1980s when I was in the single digits. It's just obviously painfully a bad strategy. If you happen to be running really well and have momentum it's a different story but these kinds of coaches don't know how to put their struggling QBs in good positions.

Nobody is a true no-win team besides that Detroit team, so yeah, you'd expect that.

ESPN's FPI (Football Power Index) has the Jets 29th. I think given which way they're going they're actually worse. They seem by most measures to be better than the Titans, maybe the Saints, and the Bengals without Joe Burrow. But the lousy teams this year, it has been observed, are really lousy.

Actually SumerBrain have been doing this since yesterday. The Jets run on 2nd down and long often...

We have an EPA/pass of .279 on defense

That means teams add around .3 points every time they throw the ball. That's on average.

And we ran another unsuccessful second and long. We haven't not run on second and long on any series of downs. We. are. freaking. terrible at it. That's 4 for 21 non-successful runs on second down.

These coaches are abysmal."
 
weird that never throwing except on 3rd and long doesn't seem to help your QB get any rhythm.

You absolutely have to call high % passing plays early in the game and on early downs. this stuff....Fields looks terrible today but you have to get him into the game earlier...

Instead of running Hall into the dline for 2 ypc why not try a screen or a shovel
 
Force feed Wilson and catch-fumble after his blistering performance thus far
2 catches, 5 yds...before the fumble at the end of the 3rd Q

-Do we really need Walt Anderson called in for this?

I am starting to think the Cardinals and the Broncos are pretty much the same team.

Payton is a better coach, but both qbs have flashes of brilliance and other times it is WTF and both coaches seem to go autopilot and conservative and play down and up to their competition. It is kind of frustrating.
