Is 4 airings really necessary???

the nfl net introduction also mentions the pit/phil game and 6 of 8 broadcasts will use the local team announcers . the pit/phil game will use the pit announcers for 1st half, then phil for 2nd half . i really like this idea . ive noticed that radio/local announcers although rooting for the home team also give due the opposing team when they make a great play . they are much more "real" when commenting on the game imo . tv guys dont want to offend any fan base, where as the radio guys tell it like they see it . cool idea for broadcast ...

I don't get it.

Are all of these games being broadcast on the local channels?

I mean....it's the NFL NETWORK...why are they not airing a lot more games live?

ETA: Count me among those who is generally dissapointed in the NFLN and their lackluster programming.....this is just one example of a lack.

how can they show them all live when they are all being played at the same time?

It's pre-season...why does it matter if they are live anyway. Just curious. I love the fact that i can catch every pre-season game on NFL Network. It's awesome.

its on two more times during the week

Maybe its time for the NFLN and Directv to get an agreement to include these games in the price of the ticket and use all the channels they have to run them live.

Me too. The NFLN is greatness, dripping with awesome goodness.Complaining about the schedule is hilarious. Wasn't too long ago that we all got only the local game, and barely got highlights of the other games.

Now I can hold up a draft 2 hours just to catch so and so rerun to see if he's worthy of the pick.

I think it's neat they re play em all thru the week. It beats Adam Sessler speculations on Favre over and over when my tv right beside it on ESPN is reporting the truth at the same time! It's happened a few times this past week. Anyone else noticed?

Could this be pinned for the next 4 weeks? It is real nice information for planning to catch games these next 4 weeks. I have to keep digging it out.

I'm still bitter that DISH moved the NFLN up a tier. Especially bitter since they said that it was because the free preview (that managed to last 2 years) was over. ;)

If you're local San Diego/Los Angeles (or have a plan that includes one of those markets' local stations) the game will be on regular network TV live.

it is very cool how they are using home team announcers each half on nflnet. really enjoy these team guys . even more after hearing the monday night espn group . they might be the all time worst imo .

I've ntoiced that this doesn't always exeactly match when certain games come on. They seem to squeezing an extra game in occassionally, which shuffles some things up or back, depending.

If anyone is relying on this, check your cable guide, and DVR things carefully.

Maybe its time for the NFLN and Directv to get an agreement to include these games in the price of the ticket and use all the channels they have to run them live.
all the preseason games used to be shown live on dtv/nfl ticket before the nfl network came along. nfl network is a POS...
