NFL Owners please read inside to help fix cheating problem (1 Viewer)

During the offseason, the topic of having a defensive player with a microphone in their headset to communicate with the sideline was discussed. It was voted upon and 22 out of the 32 owners approved of it. It did not pass, there needs to be 24 yes votes to pass the rule.

That appears to be a mistake because allowing a defensive player to have a headset, there are less signals that are being relayed in from the sideline, which would reduce the cheating with the video cams that has taken place.

It wouldn't be 100 percent full proof because many teams have two different defensive signals coming in. For example, there's a set of coverage signals coming into the secondary and then there's a set of signals by a different coach for the line.

However, I'm sure they could figure out a way for that one player, probably the safety on the team to get the message to the entire defense. When you think about it, besides the cheating factor I think it's only fair that a defensive player be able to have a headset just like the offense does. It may not solve every single problem, but I definately think allowing the headset would certainly reduce the chance of stolen signals if not eliminate them, which is a good thing.

You may want to edit that thing another time or two, especially if you want NFL owners to read it.

Hand signals?
Sure, something would have to be done. I'm just saying having one person on defense with a headset connected with someone on the sideline wouldn't alleviate the entire problem, but it would certainly help.
I tend to agree.
