1) Steelers2) Probably not until they give up on Mendenhall, sadly3) Happy to give that first round they used on Mendenhall and toss Mendenhall back in the pond as a do-over.I am looking for the following in your post:1) Your home team? 2) Would they be interested in acquiring Barber?3) What would you offer to get him?
I knew this would not be popular with my fellow Dallas homers, but something I am interesting in seeing none the less.1) DallasTap the brakes on this one. 2 good games from a rookie does not all of a sudden make Mookie available in trade. This league is showing that you need 2, 3 or more good RBs on your roster and Dallas is just in a good situation right now.Let's see Felix stay healthy a full season and more than 2 games out of T-Cho before we push our proven leaders out the door.
1) KC2) No interest in "buying" any players when there are so many holes to fill. Already paying out the ### for a pounder RB (LJ) to run behind a substandard OL. Jamaal Charles and Kolby Smith are good enough as back ups. MB would be a more versatile player and an upgrade IMO since you can have one RB who can do so many things well without tipping your hand that you're running or passing. KC is using LJ now but they're a tricked up offense (spread offense and running the QB a lot) and who knows if this is a long term offense (I doubt it).3) LJ straight up to get younger and more versatility.I am looking for the following in your post:1) Your home team? 2) Would they be interested in acquiring Barber?3) What would you offer to get him?

Sure, and I will trade my wife for Jessica Simpson to get younger and more versatility. Let me know where I can sign up. Tell Romo I will throw my two kids in too if he needs it to make the deal work.bjabrad said:1) KC2) No interest in "buying" any players when there are so many holes to fill. 1) Carolina Panthers, but they're not my favorite team2) Not at all3) NothingI actually jumped in here, because I knew this post would eventually come to be. But, let's not get too carried away with this.Yes, Barber is not able to carry the load, this year has shown he's a 200-220 carry back, and much better as a closer than a starter. But, who do they have that's going to be the starter? Choice? Who's to say right now? He's got fresh legs, zero drop off from Barber. But that's not a reason to get rid of Barber. And it doesn't mean he'd be better as the starter.Jones? IMO the best back on the team, but he didn't stay healthy this year, so it's tough to assume that the could shoulder the load. Listen, I'm the last guy to think Barber is a STUD RB, he's simply not. But you can't get rid of him this offseason, because he's the only known quantity at RB.Potential wise? Sure, I think a RBBC with Choice and Jones would be better than Barber being the starter. But until that's proven, why would a team get rid of a solid RB? Why not try to use all three next year? Choice and Jones start, and use Barber to close? The Giants were pretty successful when they had all three RBs going. It wouldn't surprise me if Dallas did dump Barber, but I don't think it would be the smart move.Bankerguy said:I am looking for the following in your post:1) Your home team? 2) Would they be interested in acquiring Barber?3) What would you offer to get him?
I'd like to just get a feel of his value before I determined whether it's worth it or not.1) Carolina Panthers, but they're not my favorite team2) Not at all3) NothingI actually jumped in here, because I knew this post would eventually come to be. I understand, though I doubt any fans here would really know what their teams would pay, or feel they need. However, there was talk about Dal trading three picks and Barber to Mia for their first. I'm not sure what the trade value chart says these a days, but it put the value about 3rd round for Barber, and I think his value fell this season.Just always got to be careful what you ask forI'd like to just get a feel of his value before I determined whether it's worth it or not.
Well, it's a message board and NOT serious business. I'll be sure to weed the crap.I'm just passing time and thought it was an interesting topic based on some great play from Choice.I understand, though I doubt any fans here would really know what their teams would pay, or feel they need. Oh my goodness....yes he stole twinkie in home room. I wrongly pimped Julius Jones after a great rookie season. I admitted I was wrong too btw.I just think his style of running is better suited in a different style offense. How choice played yesterday is what I'd like to see. More speed/vivion, ability to catch a screen pass. Barber is a helluva talent and has heart galore. I just don't want my back to have to constantly have to plow over defenders to get yards. He won't last and I think history has show this with other runners like him. There is no agenda here...geez.Keep in mind the OP has had something seemingly personal against Barber for years now.
