So can the recieving team keep the yards gained if they do not fumble the ball?

Can the recieving team advance the football after the kicking team has touched it first, on a punt? For instance.... red team punts to blue team,,on coverage down field red slaps the ball to keep it out of the endzone,, blue then picks it up and runs it 30 yards,, then is hit and fumbles red recovers,, can the blue team now take it at the point of where red 1st slapped the punt or is it reds ball at point of fumble?

I believe they spot the ball where it was touched by the defending team.

Yes. If the illegal touching penalty is declined, it's as if the kicking team never touched the ball at all.

Correct. Free yards. That's why most players who down a punt pick it up and give it to the ref.

Yes unless Red gets a penalty while they have possession. If they have a penalty, then blue will get the ball on the fumble.
