Connecticut running back Jordan Todman is scheduled to meet and have dinner with the New England Patriots next Wednesday, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.
The Big East Conference Offensive Player of the Year had a strong NFL scouting combine, running the 40-yard dash in 4.40 seconds with a 38-inch vertical leap and a 10-06 broad jump.
The 5-foot-9, 203-pounder also posted a 4.18 20-yard shuttle and a 7.24 three-cone drill.
He rushed for 3,179 career yards and 31 touchdowns, ranking third on the school's all-time yardage and touchdown list.
He gained 1,695 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, including a career-high 222 rushing yards against Pitt last season.
He was named the Huskies' Most Valuable Player, becoming the first Connecticut running back to rush for 1,000 yards or more in two seasons.
As a junior, he was a second-team All-Big East selection as he gained 1,188 yards.
