NFL Stat changes (2 Viewers)

Does your league update Fantasy scores based on the NFL Stat corections that come our Wednesday?

Looking for a sample size of leagues that will change their scores based on the stat corrections that the NFL posts Wednesday's or if your league will let the scores be final after the MNF game is complete.

We met and voted in two leagues... our games are final when the actual NFL games are final.Having said that, neither is a "money" league, so nobody's losing their home because Skippy gave a guy credit for a full sack instead of half a sack, subject to further review.

I believe that most league sites (MFL, Yahoo, CBS, ESPN, Fleaflicker, etc) apply them by default unless you go out of your way to tell them not too.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't use them.

Never really voted but in the past we waited for controversial plays to be reported so we just have rolled with it. This is the first year it is auto correcting for us , i should put it up for next year

You wouldn't use them so your fantasy games would be final Monday night and not have to wait for some stat guy sitting in an office to make a change making your fantasy game not final until Wednesday/Thursday.

In my more casual league, where we have reverse order of standings waivers, we use the automatic stat corrections, but not for determining waiver order.

The standings as of whenever the waivers run are final for the purposes of waiver order. A stat correction might later change the standings after waivers have been run, but we won't redo waivers because of it.

Stat changes coming out on Thursday from Elias has caused a huge problem in our league. It affects the waiver order since my waivers are reverse order of standings. If a close game is decided by a stat change, and waivers ran on Weds morning, then somebody likely got a better waiver priority when they shouldn't have. The solution? Move waivers to after Thursday morning, but the problem is the Thursday games conflict.

It has happened twice in my league this year. Last year one game was affected by a scoring change which was the first in 5 seasons of my league. Earlier this year when it happened I told the owners "the stars aligned and we should leave it as is because it will never happen again." The following week it happened again. FAIL. :(

We do, but in all of my leagues over the past 6+ years, not one has had an impact on an H2H game...just waiting for all hell to break loose when one does since one of the leagues has nothing in the by-laws to address it. Likely would not be an issue, unless a guy thought he loss in my keeper league and packed it in with a 'futures" trade and then realized he was still in the hunt.

Same here fence the poll. An owner in our long standing league (22 years) is contemplating quitting and starting his own league because of the Roethlisberger TD change week 4. The whole thing has gotten out of hand but we put a rule in place recently that will allow you to protest a given stat at game time. Without the protest the score stands after Monday night. He didn't protest and lost the game but would have won IF we applied automatic stat changes.I understand his frustration but the rule is the same for everyone. The argument is (at least his) is that we should have automatic stat changes in place but not everyone agrees. There's something to be said for the games being final Monday night and not waiting for "stat guy" to make the call on a play. I also would not want to wait until Wed/Thurs for my game to be final...and this is for regular season, could you imagine getting a Championship pulled because some "stat guy" at Elias changes a play. The Roethlisberger play in question I am not sure about even and if it should be a pass or run play. "Stat guy" is looking at this on a monitor (2D), when the official is looking at it in 3D live. I would argue that the play should have stood.By the way, I did not play the owner in week 4, I just don't want to see him leave after all these years, blood, sweat and tears. I'm voting for no stat changes whatsoever moving forward, the play on the field stands, no instant reply.

Yeah-I lost this year because an RG3 "sack" was changed to a -8 yard rushing attempt. I think using the official stats with scoring changes is the way to go. Just wish they would make the changes official on a Tuesday or Wednesday. The problem is the NFL probably doesn't care about/consider the FF implications.

I think the opposite is true and that stat changes were expedited because of FF. In the old days there were very little stat changes and if they did come out it could be weeks later. FF is huge business and I think might have been the reason the way they are delivered.

Good to know. I've only played FF for ~8 seasons.I wonder why they don't consider moving the official stat changes up further then due to the Thursday games? I'm sure it takes a long time to review all the plays? Perhaps it's just as simple as that.

Heard JJ Watt and the Texans defense will be getting another sack from the Titans game, as it was correctly ruled that Watt caused a Locker fumble. Just a heads up for those whose playoff seedings it may affect to double check your game results and let your commish know if it changes seedings before TNF.

Hmm, can they retroactively give us Houston owners the Antonio Smith touchdown too?

By the way, I still laugh out loud when I watch that replay and the announcers go "He was down. Yeah, he was down. So don't throw the flag." :hophead: grumble, grumble, :hophead: derp, derp, :hophead: :hophead: It's like there was some sort of mass hallucinatory event that got the ref and the announcers both. What did they think they were seeing?By the way part 2, I know this is not the Locker fumble play. I'm still just pissed off.

Yeah, it really was a head scratcher. He was standing on his feet, and bent over to pick up the ball. His knees were basically at.. well, knee height the entire time. And no one was really even all that close enough to touching him.I guess it was just a case of premature whistle-ation.
