Crazy as it sounds, that may not be wrong. Since the majority of teams did not make the playoffs, not every game got counted as both a win and a loss. Teams that missed the playoffs went back farther last season than teams that made the playoffs. So the win totals won't match up. The bad teams got credit for losses while the good teams did not get credit for those wins.

A rolling total is more accurate than static year totals. It tells you the state of the team a little more than the usual posted results.

Makes sense. The bad teams were likely to lose to the playoff teams, while all the playoff teams but one ended the season with a loss.

That wasn't the point. Thought it was interesting to see how teams have done over an extended stretch. Most people have already ordered their Patriots voodoo dolls. Not a lot of calling for those anymore as wishing NE to crumble hasn't worked. But the Saints and Rams haven't scored anywhere as much as they were to perceived to have scored based on last year. Brees being hurt obviously is a factor, but a lot of teams didn't score as much as I thought they had. And I had forgotten that TEN has been a decent defense, even if their offense has been spotty. IND and HOU still getting overlooked.
