I would hate to see the NFL get thrown under such a huge bus. I love the NFL and honestly I don't know if I'd care whether or not players are using. Yeah....I know the NFL has testing in place, but it sure comes across as a wink wink nod nod type of testing.

If anybody believes the NFL is steroid free they are crazy. All a report would do is prove something we already assume.

It's also against Federal Law......all it would take is someone with money and power to start a witchhunt.

Big difference is the league has already acknowledged they had a steriod issue, instituted testing for it, and have penalties in place. This isn't to say that the league is clean, but having acknowledged the problem and addressed it will remove the need for an MLB style witch hunt.

Public perception of the NFL is that they have tried to face the issue head on.

yep. as I understand it, the NFL has as strict a testing policy as anyone outside of the IOC. they do a decent job of policing themselves.
