NHL Off-Season thread:Down goes Kane! (1 Viewer)

By the way ... if anyone is still awake, UMass and Notre Dame are through FOUR overtimes in Game 1 of their best-of-3 Hockey East series.

Unfortunately, it's only on Internet stream but there is a free radio link .

Now the third-longest game in NCAA history.

When Pittsburgh sucks again, Malkin and Crosby are old and useless, will the team be four minutes from bankruptcy and changing addresses again or has there been enough of an attitude change that Pittsburgh fans could handle crap?
I think the real question is: will the Leafs ever win the cup again? I happily say...no.
God job Doc. Your brilliance in cracking on the Buds is truly memerizing but alas I was asking a serious question. Can Pittsburgh deal with being a cellar dweller? Thanks for taking my call, I'll hang up and listen.
I don't like talking on the phone though. I will take a fax of all the years the Leafs didn't win the cup though. But that would seem to really be expensive for you, so never mind.
:facepalm:ETA: nm you seem to think I'm cracking on Pittsburgh or you just feel it necessary to ####e on the Leafs either way if ya get a second why don't you ponder my original question, meant to spark some form of discussion and formulate a reasonable response.
ETA: Leafs fan being a Leafs fan. :bye:

So Steve Mason isn't happy, LeCavalier isn't happy, and the Flyers have the closest thing to a playoff game they'll get this year against Boston today,

Some rather strange timing but Flyers goaltender coach Jeff Reese has left the team in a spat with management over how Steve Mason was brought back from injury. Mason is NOT happy.

It's at least the second time, if not third, that Mason was thrown in too soon after an injury. They were cap strapped and had Mason back on the bench before getting in a full skate and practice after an injury, was promised he wouldnt be used without a serious injury to Zepp that night. And what happens? After 2 first period goals that chode Berube pulls Zepp and throws in a cold Mason to finish 2 and a half periods. ####### Berube is a clown and needs to go.

Weird 24 hours here in the Bay State ... Merrimack-Northeastern went 2 OT earlier, and now Holy Cross just beat Niagara in triple OT.

MAF continues his regular season dominance. He's the team MVP and is playing the best hockey of his career. Nine shutouts on the season. Top 6 scorers all play in the Metro.

Gutsy pinch by Martin in OT leads to the Hornqvist goal. Hornqvist has been really good all season. Think he's got something like 9 goals in last 8 games.

The degree to which Buffalo has blatantly packed it in is borderline criminal
If they don't end up with McDavid it will be a pretty big fail even though Eichel is a pretty nice player he is nowhere close to as good as McDavid is IMO.

Elias Lindholm with 5 points today. Has anyone watched him play? Just wondering if he's the real deal.

Team has really tightened up significantly in front of Talbot over the past couple weeks. Holding CHI to 2 SOGs on 4 PPs was impressive. That was some Torts-era level shot blocking.

Don't miss seeing Brad Richards running the point on the PP.
