NHL Off-Season thread:Down goes Kane! (2 Viewers)

The Blues have been lucky to be winning as much as they have lately. I think this is the worst I've seen them play in a few years. There will be no rookie goaltender bailing them out tonight.

It's funny, I watch all the opponent broadcasts, and the theme lately has been "Wow! I can't believe how well _______ is playing defense!" I guess it's just been a run of bad luck.

Nice slate of matchups tonight. Starting off with the Preds rolling over the Flyers at 1pm. Going to the game, hoping the Flyers at least score for junior's sake.
Sounds like two kids left happy

They showed highlights of it on the video board during a break. Awesome stuff by Jake and the make a wish foundation.

Weird game, Preds didn't look like they got off the bus until midway through the third period, had zero attack time through 2 and a half periods and still almost won.

This storm has my satellite all messed up. Anybody feel like giving an FFA summary of what's happened so far in the Pens Blues game?

Crazy game in Dallas, Wings have twice comeback down two in the 3rd.

Last one was in part due to goalie interference, but enough of those have gone against Detroit over the years for me not to blush.

Thanks for nothing Blues
As my colleague noted earlier, the Blues have been lucky of late. I'm not shocked they curled into the fetal position after last night's outburst. Team's just inconsistent.
And yet there are only three teams in the league with more points than them.

My hope is that they are getting this #### out of their system now and will start peaking in about, oh, six weeks. ;)

It'd be a nice contrast to their usual floundering they do down the stretch that carries over into the playoffs.

The fact they are winning in spite of themselves means the talent is there. Tarasenko has been a dream.

Is there a way to find out if a team has led the league in goals while having as bad of a power play as the Lightning do? Currently sitting at 23 in the league.

It's crazy. They become a significantly worse team on the power play.

Hawks last year were really close.

What a great third period by the Wild! They are now in the Wild Card and only six points behind the Chicken Hawks

I know the season isn't over but will gladly take an "I told you so" from Brasky for not believing him when he said the Wild would get back into it.

In before Getlaf posts something after his team takes the lead, after having not posted when they were down for most of the game.

Oh wait...

When the Wings beat the Stars the other night they were down two going into the third period, then fell behind by two again, then they tied it and won in OT. First time that has happened since 1934.
