Looking into getting a villa on or near the beach as a vacation rental and for my own personal use. Market prices are still affordable in comparisons to Costa Rica. Any FBGers own property in Nicaragua. Any pros or cons.
I've owned two properties in Granada; still own one of them. Happy to assist but am out of town right now; will be able to type more when I'm not enjoying so much Oregon wine. If you have specific questions, let me know.
My best friend bought into a development with some partners in Nicaragua several years ago. Not sure if they ever built on the land, but I know he did a ton of research down there. Will let you know what I find out.
By "beach", do you mean the ocean? I'm asking because Granada isn't on the sea, but IS on Lake Nicaragua which is an absolute wonder - one of the best sport fishing bodies of water in the world, among all of the other activities it offers. Another thing I like about Granada is that there are a lot of Yank ex-pats there, it's safe, and it's inexpensive.I'm sure others will have lots of good info, but listen to krista - she knows whereof she speaks.
