Joe Gibbs said he will see how Nick Novak and Shaun Suisham perform during the week before deciding how he will use the kickers on Sunday. Suisham was signed to the practice squad Tuesday as a possible alternative to Novak, who is 5-for-10 on field goal attempts and has struggled with kickoff distance. Gibbs said he might put both on the active roster.

If Suisham is active tomorrow, it will mainly be for kickoffs, IMO. Novak struggles to get the ball to the 10 on KOs. My guess is Novak would still kick XP and FGs. I guess maybe Suisham would kick a long FG if he has the leg for that.

Suisham missed his only field goal attempt, so they released Novak. Actually I think his kickoffs were deeper than Novak's, and that alone is probably reason enough to sign him.
