Nick Saban (1 Viewer)

Saban's Dolphins have pretty clearly been the biggest underachievers so far this year. If you were ranking the coaches based on the 2006 careers, I don't know how you could put Nick Saban in your top 29.
:fishing:
:confused:How would you rank the coaches based on the jobs they've done so far this year? Pretty sure the list goes...32. Fisher31. Shell30. SabanSaban's done an absolutely horrible job this year. His team is 1-3, barely beating the Titans. I don't know how he could have done any worse, outside of being Fisher or Shell.
Fisher and Saban are two of my top 10 coaches in the league.
Agree about Fisher. But what has Saban done to warrant that?
Actually let me retract that a bit...Fisher is in my top 15 and Saban is in my top 20.I actually started to rank the coaches and there is really good coaching in the league right now...very competitive.
Definitely.Top 5, in no particular order:GibbsParcellsBellicheckReidShanahanFox, Holmgren and Cowher real close
You better switch this to say1) Belichickthen put the rest in any order. Parcell's hasn't won anything without BBI don't think Reid belongs there. His game time decisions are head scratchersI would have Fisher in my top 10 without question.

...and I have no sympathy. You Dolphins fans mocked Bears fans when we told you what would happen.Wanny did NOTHING with the Phins after Jimmy Johnson left. They never went any further in the playoffs.I think he's a heckuva D-Coordinator though. ...for what it's worth.
told us what would happen? wannstadt? me and most other fin fans i know thought he was useless. heck, i even recall a story where some fans put a "for sale" sign outside his house mid-season a few years back.

I am POSITIVE I told Phins fans WHEN Wanny was announced as the new head coach (also done on an NFL playoff game day, which was ridiculous) that Wanny would bring in aging veterans and would never take the Dolphins any further - and he'd whiff on high draft picks. And all Bears fans who predicted this were mocked and made fun of, and I can still hear the "Huizenga will spend the money that the cheapskate McCaskeys won't". How's that spending going? How did Junior Say Ouch! go? How did that 5' tall first round CB from Wisconsin pan out?

Glad to see this discussion has stayed focused on saban:loco:
Marc, after putting up the above post, I was driving my kid someplace and thinking the same thing.I think the disgruntled Miami fans have taken it in another direction.Bottom line: The Dolphins are the most disappointing team this season, and Saban is the man at the top - so he gets the blame.Losing to Houston and barely beating Tennessee is pretty awful.
