Nicks getting MRI on his hand (1 Viewer)

It just figures he'd be hurt going into a Monday night game. What are owners doing? In the league I have him I could plug in Jordy Nelson, Meachem/Moore, MThomas, Burleson, or Knox ... or maybe pick up MSW/Salas or Hixon and take a chance. What stinks for that league is the ww runs tomorrow and doesn't have an open transaction period. I think I gotta go Jordy and then my Sunday if it's still up in the air just give up on Nicks this week.
I picked up Jordy from waivers and plugged him into my starting lineup. Nicks is on the bench. This thread might make me change my mind, though.

Picked up Gibson as back-up for Nicks. My only problem now is that MNF is 2:30 AM were I live. But nothing an alarm clock can't handle

Have Nicks in 2 of the 3 leagues I play in. One I have picked up Caddy to sub for Nicks in flex but Caddy isn't going to be on WWs.The other I have Gibson. He could be on some WWs. Someone has to catch the balls in STL against a depleted NYG secondary so it's not a reach to start Gibson, MSW, or even Salas in PPR.If you don't have an open period up until first game Sunday then you're probably right in your thinking that you should use one of your alternates already on your team. However, I agree with the poster above saying he's starting Nicks if he's playing. I had him last season and learned just because he is "hurt" doesn't mean he can't and won't blow up. I start him if he's in the lineup and expect good things..this is why I think having a backup plan playing MNF is worth it so you can start him if he plays and have a backup just in case he is inactive.
This is the dilemma. I have a good team and solid options. Part of me thinks, don't take the risk just bench him while the other half thinks that the rest of my team could carry him if he didn't perform. I just have no chance of getting a back up
Guys, he's gonna play.
Think I'll play him. It's either him or Bowe/Graham, think I sorta have to go with him.
