I think she might have made a somewhat valid point if she had replaced "Dylan Roof" with "white supremacists of the 1960s".

(She'd still be mostly wrong, IMO. But at least she wouldn't have looked like a pandering fool.)

The "confederate" flag was pretty much "hijacked" by the "white supremacists of the 1860s".

Pretty much this....and I know many families to this day who won't allow that to be the case.  As their reward they are labeled racists themselves simply because they have the flags.  It's an interesting hill to die on, but they are passionate about it and will lay out the history for anyone who will listen.  It's not a hill I think I'd choose to die on in today's world.

Oh, she most certainly is.  It seems pretty clear where she's headed with all this.  It would be a huge mistake for the GOP to prop her up, but I'm sure they will at some point.

Well wasn't there talk a few times about Trump wanting to replace Pence as VP?   There was a brief period where the idea of a Trump/Pence 2020 ticket didn't seem 100%
