Who'll be starting MLB in 2009?

Looking for inputs here and whether the DEN MLB continues to appears as a 2-down role irrespective of which of these two plays MLB.

Jene has DJ and Bailey listed as the 3-down LBs. That's probably the case. I can't believe that Niko hasn't been a starter before if he's talented enough. I agree with Anthony that he's a short-term solution in Denver with limited value if he's only playing 2 downs. I was high on him before but have stopped drinking the Niko Kool-Aid since.

One thing to keep an eye on is Bailey's health. He was hurt all the time in Detroit and I wonder who plays in the nickel packages in Denver should Bailey get hurt.

You have to feel Niko is a band-aid, yet he could stick in 2009. Larsen should challenge, but will be nothing more than a 2 downer. Jordan Beck could be a wildcard. He is being discounted in this, but I wouldn’t totally right him off just yet. Beck is one of those small school players (Cal Poly) who did win the Buck Buchanan Award (2004), which is presented annually to the nation’s outstanding Division I FCS (formally Division 1AA) defensive player. Other Buchanan award winner notables are; Dexter Coakley, Ed Hartwell, Rashean Mathis and Jared Allen. Beck was a 3rd round draft pick (Atlanta) 2005.

Beck is a guy I’m gonna keep an eye on this summer. One other note … he’s less than a year older than Larsen.
